Opening night of the 2026-27 NBA season concludes with a highly anticipated Western Conference Finals rematch as the San Antonio Spurs host the Oklahoma City Thunder at Frost Bank Center.

The Thunder finished the 2025-26 season as the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed for the third consecutive year and with the best record in the NBA for the second straight season. Oklahoma City was eyeing a second consecutive NBA championship but fell to San Antonio in seven games in the Western Conference Finals.

The Spurs established themselves as one of the NBA’s elite teams with an impressive 62-20 record last season, snapping a six-year playoff drought and finishing as the No. 2 seed in the West. San Antonio also posted the second-best record in the NBA, just two games behind the Thunder. Although the Spurs got the better of Oklahoma City in the Conference Finals, New York proved to be the stronger team in the NBA Finals, winning the series in five games.

With two of the NBA’s biggest stars, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama, going head-to-head, check out our Thunder vs. Spurs best player prop bets, predictions, and odds below.

Best Player Prop Bets and Predictions for Thunder vs. Spurs

Two of the NBA’s youngest and most talented teams go toe-to-toe to open their seasons, so don’t miss the chance to get in on the basketball betting action at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook. Below are two of the best player prop bets for Thunder vs. Spurs, featuring insights and trends from the Stats Hub:

Victor Wembanyama Over 11.5 Rebounds (-125)

Victor Wembanyama is one of the most dominant players in the NBA. Through his first three seasons, and at just 22 years old, Wembanyama is already a former Rookie of the Year, an All-Rookie First Team selection, a two-time All-Star, and a two-time All-Defensive First Team selection. He was also named to the All-NBA First Team and earned both Defensive Player of the Year and Western Conference Finals MVP honors for the 2025-26 season while finishing third in MVP voting.

Wembanyama’s 11.5 rebounds per game last season marked a career high and tied for the fourth-highest average in the NBA. The Spurs are expected to feature a smaller starting lineup Tuesday night, with guard Dylan Harper joining Stephon Castle and De’Aaron Fox in the backcourt. That could put even more responsibility on Wembanyama to control the glass.

At 7-foot-4, Wembanyama is more than capable of handling the additional rebounding duties. The Stats Hub also shows that he recorded 12 or more rebounds in three of his final five games last season.

  • Victor Wembanyama Over 11.5 Rebounds (-125)

Isaiah Hartenstein Over 2.5 Assists (-110)

Isaiah Hartenstein is another talented big man in this matchup, anchoring the Thunder’s frontcourt. Centers aren’t typically known for their playmaking abilities, but Hartenstein averaged 3.5 assists per game last season after posting 3.8 per game the year before.

The Stats Hub notes that Hartenstein has recorded three or more assists in four consecutive road games and also reached that mark in four of his final five playoff appearances overall last season.

It certainly helps having an elite scorer like two-time MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander on the floor, whose 31.1 points per game last season ranked second in the NBA.

  • Isaiah Hartenstein Over 2.5 Assists (-110)
