Week 6 of the NFL is finished and it was another brutal one in the Survivor streets. 61,376 players entered the week with one goal in mind: punch a ticket to Week 7, and only 25,970 managed to do so.
Across Hard Rock Bet’s $2 Million NFL Survivor contest the two most-selected teams fell flat, eliminating close to 20,000 players alone. Let’s assess the Week 6 carnage.
The Most Popular Picks: NFL Survivor Week 6
It’s not pretty, but let’s cover the most-selected teams from Week 6:
LA Rams – 13,864 Picks / 25.5% Pick Rate ❌
The Rams entered the week as the betting favorite to win the Super Bowl and left with a 2-4 record after a disastrous 18-16 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals. This was the most popular play of the week, but it just didn’t work for the Rams.
They looked sluggish after their Monday night loss to the Bills, Davante Adams got hurt, and to their credit the Cardinals battled to their second win of the season – and their second win at SoFi Stadium after knocking off the chargers in Week 1.
More than 13,000 players left the contest with the Rams.
Indianapolis Colts – 11,107 Picks / 20.4% Pick Rate ❌
The Colts garnered 20.4% of the picks in Week 6 due to their home matchup against the winless Titans. I was on this one in my Week 6 Survivor strategy article – on paper it was a great opportunity to burn a team that lacked late season appeal, but sadly, the Titans aren’t winless anymore.
Daniel Jones and the Colts jumped out to 13-0 half time lead and backers had to stand by and watch as the Titans reeled off 20 unanswered points to take a fourth quarter lead, and ultimately hold on for a surprising 26-20 win.
More than 11K players were eliminated with the Colts loss.
New England Patriots – 8,472 Picks / 15.6% Pick Rate ✅
Finally, some good news! This one was decently close but the resurgent Patriots had more than enough to knock off the Jets at home, advancing 8,472 players to Week 7 with a 26-19 win.
Monday Night Madness: 49ers Hold On
The San Francisco 49ers garnered the 4th-most support on the week with 6,525 players moving on to Week 7 after Monday night…. but it wasn’t a painless sweat.
After Christian McCaffrey ran in his second touchdown of the night to open up a 20-3 lead just before half time it looked settled for San Fran… but the Commanders made a game of it.
Washington scored two late touchdowns and nearly grabbed a third if not for some late defensive heroics from Malik Mustapha, who punched out what would have been potential game winning catch from Treylon Burks.
A win is a win though, and anyone who had the 9ers are on to next week.
Week 7 Winners’ Share: $77.01
With the field narrowing from 61,376 to 25,970, the value of each remaining entry has more than doubled from $32.59 to $77.01.
If you’re still in, don’t forget to submit your pick for Week 7 – the easiest way to lose is not to make a pick.
We’ll be back later this week for NFL Survivor Week 7 data and strategic insights. Stay tuned.
