Best Player Prop Bets and Predictions for Timberwolves vs. Magic
Thinking about getting in on the player prop action for Friday night’s game? Check out Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook’s Stats Hub for basketball betting insights and trends to help navigate the markets. Below are two of the best player prop bets for Timberwolves vs. Magic that we found using the Stats Hub:
Anthony Edwards Over 3.5 Threes Made (-145)
Anthony Edwards is coming off a ridiculous performance against Miami, dropping 45 points while knocking down nine three-pointers. He attempted 17 shots from beyond the arc, connecting on 52.9% of them.
Will he attempt 17 threes and make nine every game? Probably not. But Edwards is one of the best scorers in the NBA, and with another dangerous shooter alongside him in LaMelo Ball, he could get even more opportunities as defenses are forced to account for both players.
This type of production isn’t completely out of the ordinary for Edwards. He averaged 3.4 made threes per game last season and 4.1 the year before, attempting more than eight per contest in both seasons. The Stats Hub also notes that Edwards has made four or more three-pointers in five consecutive games against Southeast Division opponents.
- Anthony Edwards Over 3.5 Threes Made (-145)
Desmond Bane Over 2.5 Threes Made (+110)
We’re sticking with the threes made market but turning our attention to a Magic player this time. The Stats Hub notes that Desmond Bane is riding a six-game streak of making three or more three-pointers, including three against Atlanta in Orlando’s season opener.
Bane may not be quite the three-point shooter Edwards is, but he’s still capable of knocking them down consistently. It’s also worth noting that he attempted 10 threes against Atlanta, tied with Tristan da Silva for the team lead.
- Desmond Bane Over 2.5 Threes Made (+110)

Timberwolves vs. Magic Preview for Oct. 23
Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves spoiled Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Miami debut Wednesday night with a 131-106 road victory to open the season. Minnesota was also debuting a new-look roster, most notably with LaMelo Ball joining forces with Edwards following his offseason trade from Charlotte.
The new duo in Minnesota didn’t disappoint, with Ball scoring 21 points and Edwards dropping a team-high 45 in the win. It will be a tough task for any defense to contain those two, especially with how dangerous they can be from three-point range.
The Magic suffered a tough home loss in their season opener, falling 132-125 to Atlanta. Orlando held a 33-28 lead after the first quarter, but the Hawks erupted for 44 points in the second to take a 72-62 lead into halftime.
Orlando fought back in the second half, outscoring Atlanta 38-27 in the third quarter, but the Hawks ultimately got the win. Despite the loss, Paolo Banchero delivered an impressive shooting performance for the Magic, scoring a team-high 35 points while shooting 83.3% from the field. Wendell Carter Jr. also shot the ball well, finishing with 22 points on 80% shooting.
