The PGA Tour remains in Texas as Colonial Country Club gets set to host the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge, which begins Thursday, May 28 and runs through Sunday, May 31. One of the PGA Tour’s most historic stops returns for its 80th edition this week, as players prepare for one of the schedule’s premier positional golf courses. Unlike last week’s shootout at TPC Craig Ranch, Colonial Country Club has long rewarded precise iron play, patience, and scrambling ability, with recent winning scores settling somewhere in the low-to-mid teens under par. A total purse of $9.9 million will be up for grabs, with the winner set to earn $1,782,000.

The Tour heads to Fort Worth following an exciting finish at last week’s CJ Cup Byron Nelson, where Wyndham Clark surged to the top of the leaderboard with a bogey-free 60 on Sunday to capture his fourth career PGA Tour victory and first since 2024. Clark finished at 30-under par, edging both Si Woo Kim and hometown favorite Scottie Scheffler in a dramatic finish at TPC Craig Ranch. Jackson Suber impressed with a solo fourth-place finish, while Keith Mitchell, Tony Finau, Max Greyserman, Sungjae Im, and Tom Hoge all posted top-10 finishes during one of the lowest-scoring events of the season.

Despite the momentum coming out of last week’s event, several notable names will not make the trip to Colonial – Clark, Kim, and Scheffler are all absent from this week’s field. With Scottie sitting this one out, Ludvig Aberg (+850) opens as the betting favorite at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook. Russell Henley (+1750) comes in next boasting a T16 finish at Colonial back in 2023, while Justin Thomas (+1750) looks to keep up his strong recent form at a venue where he’s struggled at in the past, with a T40 finish in 2021 and a missed cut in 2022.

The next group on the odds board features several players with strong recent history at Colonial. Defending champion Ben Griffin (+2500) returns after surviving a crowded leaderboard last season to secure his first solo PGA Tour victory, while Robert MacIntyre (+2500) looks to build off a T6 finish in the same event. Rickie Fowler (+2500) is also priced among the top contenders for this week after posting multiple strong finishes at Colonial over the past few years, including a T6 finish in 2023 and a T16 in 2025.

Further down the board, several other familiar names stand out. J.J. Spaun (+3000) posted a T6 finish last season, Keegan Bradley (+4000) finished as the runner-up here in 2024, and Harry Hall (+4000) has now recorded top-10 finishes at Colonial in two of the last three seasons. Bud Cauley (+4000) quietly finished third here last year, while Pierceson Coody (+4000) continues to flash upside at his home-state event after consecutive strong showings at Colonial.

As has become tradition at the Charles Schwab Challenge, this week’s field also features no shortage of dangerous longshots. Davis Riley (+25000) won this event as a massive underdog in 2024, Emiliano Grillo (+10000) prevailed in a playoff over Adam Schenk (+100000) in 2023, and several recent leaderboards have featured unexpected names deep into contention entering Sunday.

Below is a look at the entire field for the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge along with each golfer’s odds to win at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.
