Best Player Prop Bets and Predictions for Patriots vs. Bears

There are so many football betting markets available for NFL games at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook that it’s impossible to highlight them all here. However, we’ve picked out two of the best player prop bets for Patriots vs. Bears in our Thursday Night Football predictions below using insights and trends from the Stats Hub:

Rhamondre Stevenson Over 2.5 Receptions (-115)

Drake Maye and the Patriots’ offense are set to face a very good Bears defense. Chicago plays well against the pass and is strong against the run, meaning there may be more plays where Maye has to get the ball out quickly or dump it off to his running back if nothing is open further downfield.

Luckily for Maye, he has a running back who can be a threat as a receiver out of the backfield: Rhamondre Stevenson.

Stevenson caught 32 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns last year and has had a season in his career in which he was targeted 88 times. He didn’t record a reception or even a target in the Patriots’ Week 6 win over the New York Jets, but he does have 19 targets this season.

The Stats Hub also notes that Stevenson has recorded three or more receptions in each of New England’s last four games as underdogs, as they are Thursday night.

  • Rhamondre Stevenson Over 2.5 Receptions (-115)

Caleb Williams Over 19.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

Bears third-year quarterback Caleb Williams missed three games due to a hamstring injury he suffered in a Week 2 loss to Minnesota but made his return in Week 6. He played exceptionally well, completing 30 of 36 passes for 305 yards and a touchdown in Chicago’s 31-23 win over Atlanta. However, there was one element of his game missing.

Williams may not be as much of a runner as some other quarterbacks around the NFL, but he’s still mobile and dangerous with his legs. He had 15 carries for 107 yards and two touchdowns through the first two weeks of the season before his injury but ran the ball only four times for three yards in Week 6 against Atlanta.

That hesitation isn’t necessarily abnormal for a player returning from a hamstring injury, especially in his first game back. The last thing he wanted to do was re-aggravate his hamstring and potentially miss more time.

After playing a full game and then practicing in the days leading up to Thursday Night Football, Williams could be more willing to run with the ball and make plays with his legs against New England. Like the Bears, the Patriots also feature a strong defensive unit, so if the run game struggles or receivers can’t get open in time, there may be more opportunities for Williams to scramble.

The Stats Hub notes that Williams has recorded 20 or more rushing yards in each of his last three home appearances.

  • Caleb Williams Over 19.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

Patriots vs. Bears Preview for TNF

The Patriots and Bears have both had somewhat of a roller-coaster season so far, and it’s only Week 7.

The Patriots suffered an ugly loss to Seattle in a Super Bowl rematch in Week 1 but have since looked much better and enter Thursday on a three-game winning streak. The Bears, meanwhile, scored 59 points in their Week 1 win over Carolina, looking like an unstoppable force, but then scored only three points in Week 2 against Minnesota in a game in which they lost their starting quarterback for the next three contests.

Chicago held its own without Caleb Williams, going 2-1 in his absence. Now that he’s back, and with the way he looked as a passer this past Sunday against Atlanta, the Bears might be on track to getting back to that dominant team we saw in Week 1. It also helps that their defense is one of the better units in the NFL.

The Patriots won in Week 6, but one of the biggest storylines heading into Thursday night’s matchup at Soldier Field is how star wide receiver A.J. Brown will respond. Brown returned from injured reserve this past Sunday after suffering an ankle injury in Week 1 in his first game with the Patriots following his offseason trade from Philadelphia. However, he didn’t have the performance he was hoping for.

Brown was heavily targeted by Drake Maye in Week 6, leading the team with 10 targets, but he caught only three passes for 27 yards. That needs to change for the Patriots to sustain success throughout the rest of the season, making it important for him to bounce back Thursday night.
