The Portland Trail Blazers (42-40) travel to Phoenix, Arizona, on Tuesday night to take on the Suns (45-37) in the final steps before the NBA Playoffs begin. Both teams failed to secure one of the top six seeds in the Western Conference during the regular season and now must fight to earn one of the final two playoff spots in the play-in tournament.

The Suns have home-court advantage after finishing as the higher seed in the West (No. 7), putting added pressure on the No. 8-seeded Trail Blazers to steal a win on the road and punch their ticket to the playoffs. The winner of Tuesday night’s game will secure the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference playoffs, while the loser will have one more opportunity to earn a playoff spot. They will face the winner of Wednesday night’s 9/10 play-in game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers.
