The theme of this year’s NHL Stanley Cup Final has been tightly contested, back-and-forth hockey. Whether that trend continues remains to be seen, but the Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes are back on the ice Thursday night for Game 5, with the series returning to Carolina at the Lenovo Center.

The Hurricanes took control in the third period, with captain Jordan Staal scoring the go-ahead goal on a backhand shot while falling to the ice, marking his second goal of the game. Nikolaj Ehlers later added an empty-net goal with 55 seconds remaining to secure the win and even the series at two games apiece heading into Game 5.
