A rivalry is renewed Saturday night as the Auburn Tigers (2-0, 0-0 SEC) are set to host the Florida Gators (2-0, 0-0 SEC) in an SEC matchup under the lights at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Florida is off to a good start under first-year head coach Jon Sumrall, having opened its season with a 66-21 win over Florida Atlantic before carrying that momentum into a dominant 52-3 victory against Campbell last Saturday.
The Gators have totaled 1,138 yards of offense through their first two games, with quarterback Aaron Philo tossing five touchdowns and adding two more on the ground to begin his Florida career. Junior running back Jadan Baugh has also proven to be a major asset, rushing for 296 yards and five touchdowns, while wide receivers Vernell Brown III and Dallas Wilson have also found early success to begin the year.
Auburn had a tougher start to its season, earning a tightly contested 17-16 win over Baylor in Week 1 before bouncing back with a 43-8 blowout victory against Southern Miss in Week 2. The Tigers totaled 613 yards of offense against Southern Miss, including 343 rushing yards led by running back Omar Mabson II, who had 108 rushing yards and a touchdown while averaging 7.2 yards per carry. Quarterback Byrum Brown also had success in the run game with 88 rushing yards on 13 carries, as did running back Jeremiah Cobb, who recorded 85 rushing yards in the win.

Auburn vs. Florida Best Bet: Florida Moneyline (-135)
Florida’s offense has been electric to start the year and is set to face an Auburn defense that allowed 436 total yards to Baylor in Week 1. The Gators’ defense hasn’t been out of this world through the first two weeks, but the unit has forced five turnovers and allowed just 24 total points between Florida Atlantic and Campbell.
It will be a hostile environment at Jordan-Hare on Saturday night, but Florida is outscoring its opponents 118-24 so far this season and has earned two dominant victories, making it hard to go against the Gators.
