The Florida State Seminoles (1-1, 0-1 ACC) travel to Tuscaloosa to take on the No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0, 1-0 SEC) in a Week 3 college football matchup Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Alabama made it to the College Football Playoff quarterfinals last season but fell to eventual champion Indiana in the Rose Bowl, finishing ninth in the AP Poll. The Crimson Tide are off to another good start in 2026 under third-year head coach Kalen DeBoer, starting the season 2-0, including a 45-17 road victory against Kentucky last week.
Alabama’s offense was pretty well-balanced in the win over Kentucky, with quarterback Keelon Russell throwing for 188 yards and a touchdown while the run game totaled 155 yards and three touchdowns. Daniel Hill led the rushing attack with 104 yards and a score.
The Crimson Tide did struggle early in that game, however, with Russell throwing two first-half interceptions and losing a fumble as the Wildcats took a 17-13 lead into the locker room. Alabama’s offense found its rhythm in the second half, while the defense pitched a shutout to complete the comeback win.
Florida State began its season with a 34-17 win over New Mexico State but lost a close 27-24 battle against then-No. 19 SMU last week at home in a game that was delayed for nearly two hours after a power outage at Doak Campbell Stadium. The Seminoles leaned heavily on the run game against SMU, totaling 45 carries for 199 yards and two touchdowns, but couldn’t slow down Kevin Jennings and the Mustangs’ offense despite forcing four turnovers.
