The PGA Tour continues its two-week swing through Mexico with the 2026 World Wide Technology Championship, taking place November 5-8 at El Cardonal at Diamante in Los Cabos. The Tiger Woods-designed course will host a 120-player field competing for a $6 million purse, with $1.08 million and 500 FedExCup points going to the winner.

Last week’s VidantaWorld Mexico Open saw Andrew Novak capture his first individual PGA Tour title with a five-stroke victory over Steven Fisk and Kristoffer Ventura. Novak finished at 25-under, while Ben Griffin tied for fourth at 19-under ahead of his title defense this week.

Gerard Headlines the Field

Ryan Gerard (+1200) jumps out as the favorite at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook this week, followed by defending champion Ben Griffin (+1600).

Griffin arrives in solid form after finishing T4 at last week’s Mexico Open. He won this tournament a year ago with a record-setting performance at 29-under, closing with a 63 on Sunday to defeat Chad Ramey and Sami Valimaki by two strokes.

Ben James and Jackson Koivun share the next-shortest odds at +1750 apiece. James finished T16 at the Mexico Open, finishing 15-under after opening the tournament with an even-par 72.

Keith Mitchell (+2500) rounds out the top five on the odds board, followed by Blades Brown, Harry Hall and Marco Penge at +3000.

Kristoffer Ventura (+3000) is also among the leading contenders after finishing tied for second at last week’s Mexico Open. The Norwegian closed with a final round 63 to finish at 20-under.

Another strong group follows at +4000, including Max Greyserman and Pierceson Coody. Both turned in impressive performances last week, with Coody tying for sixth at 18-under and Greyserman finishing T11 at 17-under.

Former Champions Return to El Cardonal

Three previous winners at El Cardonal are competing this week, including Griffin, Austin Eckroat (+6000) and Erik van Rooyen (+7500).

Eckroat claimed the 2024 title at 24-under, while van Rooyen won the inaugural tournament at El Cardonal in 2023 at 27-under.

Van Rooyen is also coming off an impressive showing at the Mexico Open, where he finished tied for sixth.

Scoring has been exceptionally low since the tournament moved to El Cardonal in 2023, with all three champions finishing at least 24-under.
