The PGA Tour returns to competition this week with a new addition to the FedExCup Fall schedule, as the inaugural Biltmore Championship Asheville tees off Thursday at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove in North Carolina.
The tournament runs from September 17-20 and is the first PGA Tour event since the Tour Championship concluded the FedExCup Playoffs in late August. Biltmore kicks off the 2026 FedExCup Fall calendar, giving players another opportunity to improve their standing and secure status heading into next season. The 132-player field will compete for a $5 million purse, with $900,000 going to the winner.
The PGA Tour’s return also comes during a busy week in professional golf, with many of the sport’s biggest names competing across the Atlantic in the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth Golf Club. That leaves the Biltmore Championship with a generally younger and more wide-open field, giving emerging players and others looking to improve their Tour status an opportunity to take advantage of the first event of the fall.
The Jack Nicklaus-designed Walnut Cove will host a PGA Tour event for the first time in its history, marking the Tour’s return to the Asheville area for the first time since the Asheville Open was last played in 1942.
2026 Biltmore Championship Asheville Odds
Jackson Koivun (+1200) enters the week as the favorite at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, with Jacob Bridgeman (+1750) the only other player priced shorter than 25-1. Both golfers broke through for their first PGA Tour victories during the regular season, with Koivun winning the 3M Open in July and Bridgeman capturing The Genesis Invitational in February.
Ben James (+2500), Rasmus Højgaard (+2500) and Davis Thompson (+2500) make up the next tier on the board. Højgaard has remained busy on the DP World Tour and arrives in Asheville playing some of his best golf of the year, with a runner-up at the Danish Golf Championship followed by a T11 finish at the Omega European Masters. Mac Meissner, Corey Conners, J.T. Poston, Doug Ghim and Kevin Yu are among the other names near the top of the board at +3000.
Jackson Suber, 19-year-old Blades Brown and Ryo Hisatsune follow at +4000, while Michael Kim (+5000) and Ben Kohles (+6000) round out the middle of the betting board after both golfers closed out the regular season in relatively strong form.
Recent form also makes Haotong Li an interesting name at +7500. Li makes the trip to North Carolina from Ireland after finishing T14 at the Amgen Irish Open, where a 63 on Friday catapulted him into contention heading into the weekend.
