NBA Cup group play begins Friday night, including a matchup between the New York Knicks (2-3) and the Philadelphia 76ers (4-1) at the Xfinity Mobile Arena. Not only did the Knicks win the NBA Finals last season, but they were also crowned the 2025 NBA Cup champions, ironically defeating San Antonio in both.

The Knicks and Sixers have already met once this season, with Philadelphia spoiling New York’s championship ring and banner ceremony with a 106-100 win on opening night at Madison Square Garden. Check out our Knicks vs. 76ers best player prop bets, predictions, and odds below for Friday night’s rematch.

Best Player Prop Bets and Predictions for Knicks vs. 76ers

When the Knicks and 76ers meet, things can get intense. With so much talent on both sides, there aren’t many better matchups around the NBA than this one. Don’t miss the opportunity to get involved in Friday night’s action.

Check out two of the best player prop bets for Knicks vs. 76ers below, supported by basketball betting insights from the Stats Hub at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook:

Jalen Brunson Over 2.5 Rebounds (-155)

Jalen Brunson’s rebounding isn’t necessarily what makes him a great player, and dominating the glass isn’t his primary role. However, he does average 3.2 rebounds per game for his career and grabbed five boards against Philadelphia in the season opener.

Brunson also grabbed five rebounds in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against Philadelphia last year and followed that up with four in the series-clinching Game 4. The Stats Hub notes that Brunson has recorded three or more rebounds in eight consecutive games at the Xfinity Mobile Arena.

  • Jalen Brunson Over 2.5 Rebounds (-155)

Tyrese Maxey Over 23.5 Points (-125)

Tyrese Maxey leads the Sixers’ star-studded offense with 28.4 points per game through the first five contests of the season, which is also good for the fourth-highest average in the NBA. He has scored 26 or more points in every game this year, including 28 on opening night against New York.

  • Tyrese Maxey Over 23.5 Points (-125)

Knicks vs. 76ers Preview for NBA Cup Group Play

New York will look to get back at its Eastern Conference rival after losing its season opener 106-100 against Philadelphia on the night the Knicks received their championship rings and raised their banner. It’s only been 10 days since that loss, so it’s still fresh in their minds.

The Knicks held a 58-54 lead at halftime against Philadelphia in the season opener, but the Sixers outscored them 52-42 in the second half to complete the comeback. New York then lost its next two games to start the season 0-3 but has since beaten Detroit and Chicago as it looks to put its early struggles behind it.

The Sixers did the opposite, starting the season 3-0 before suffering a 106-93 loss to Detroit on Oct. 25. However, they responded with a 114-109 road win over Indiana on Wednesday after trailing 88-75 through three quarters. Philadelphia outscored the Pacers 39-21 in the fourth to secure the comeback victory and improve to 4-1.

The Sixers could be without Jaylen Brown for Friday night’s game, as he’s listed as questionable with a knee injury. The Knicks, meanwhile, will be without backup guard Jose Alvarado, who has already been ruled out for the fourth consecutive game with an ankle injury.
