Delaware heads to Bowling Green on Tuesday night to face Western Kentucky in a Conference USA matchup at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Both teams enter at 3-4 overall, with the Hilltoppers sitting at 2-1 in conference play and the Blue Hens at 1-2. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.
Western Kentucky returns home following consecutive conference victories over Missouri State and Sam Houston, while Delaware snapped a three-game losing streak with an offensive explosion against Missouri State last Tuesday.
The Blue Hens defeated the Bears 61-38 at Delaware Stadium, scoring 37 second-half points after trailing 28-24 at halftime. Quarterback Nick Minicucci returned after missing two games with an injury and tied a school record with five touchdown passes, completing 20 of 29 attempts for 225 yards. He also added a touchdown on the ground.
Running back Jo Silver racked up 101 rushing yards and two total touchdowns as Delaware finished with a season-high 232 yards on the ground. The Blue Hens scored on nine consecutive possessions and did not punt in the victory.
Western Kentucky last played on October 14, defeating Sam Houston 16-3 on the road. The Hilltoppers controlled the game defensively, limiting the Bearkats to just 177 total yards, including 65 rushing yards, while holding them scoreless in the second half.
Quarterback Brock Glenn completed 14 of 30 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown while adding 54 rushing yards on 22 carries. The Florida State transfer has taken over the starting role following an injury to Rodney Tisdale Jr., giving Western Kentucky another option in the running game.
Tuesday marks the fourth all-time meeting between Delaware and Western Kentucky, with the Blue Hens holding a 2-1 advantage in the series. The programs last faced each other in 1981, when Delaware earned a 38-14 victory in Bowling Green.

Delaware vs. Western Kentucky Prediction
Western Kentucky Moneyline (-120): I’m backing Western Kentucky to pick up their third consecutive victory on Tuesday night at home.
The Hilltoppers played five of their first seven games on the road, including trips to No. 2 Georgia and No. 4 Indiana. They’ve been much better at home, winning both games this season by at least 21 points.
Delaware has also struggled away from home, dropping all three of its road games. The Blue Hens are coming off a 61-point explosion against Missouri State last time out, making this the perfect sell-high spot as they hit the road for the fourth time this season.
Western Kentucky has allowed just 16 points over its last two games, showing considerable improvement on the defensive end since its opening stretch against some of the nation’s top teams. Additionally, the Hilltoppers have also won 31 of their last 43 home games under head coach Tyson Helton.
With WKU playing some of its best football of the season and finally getting another opportunity at home, I’ll take the Hilltoppers to get the win tonight at -120.
