Best Player Prop Bets and Predictions for Trail Blazers vs. Lakers

Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook’s Stats Hub offers daily basketball betting insights and trends, which we used to identify two of the best player prop bets for Trail Blazers vs. Lakers in our predictions below:

Damian Lillard Over 4.5 Assists (-115)

Damian Lillard missed the entire 2025-26 season with an Achilles injury, but the nine-time All-Star is back healthy and appears to have picked up where he left off. Lillard scored a team-high 25 points and recorded six assists in the Trail Blazers’ 124-83 win over Phoenix to open the season. While he was still solid in Portland’s 128-120 win against Sacramento on Friday, he didn’t have quite as strong of a performance.

As dangerous a scoring threat as Lillard is, especially from beyond the arc, we’re focusing on his playmaking and facilitating abilities Tuesday night. The Stats Hub notes that Lillard has recorded five or more assists in 16 consecutive games with the Trail Blazers as underdogs, as they are Tuesday night against the Lakers.

We already mentioned that Lillard recorded six assists in Portland’s season opener, and while he had just two against Sacramento, he still owns a career average of 6.7 assists per game over 14 seasons. Lillard has plenty of scoring threats to pass to, whether it’s Deni Avdija, Ja Morant, or Jrue Holiday, when he’s not looking to score himself.

  • Damian Lillard Over 4.5 Assists (-115)

Matisse Thybulle Over 6.5 Points (+105)

Matisse Thybulle is by no means one of the Lakers’ top scoring options, but he’s still capable of contributing offensively. He’s averaging nine points per game this season, and the Stats Hub shows that he has scored 11 or more points in each of his last two games.

Thybulle attempted just four shots in Los Angeles’ season-opening win against Golden State but took eight shots in each of the victories over the Clippers and Utah. Seven of his eight attempts against Utah came from beyond the arc, and he made three of them. He also knocked down three of his six three-point attempts against the Clippers.

If Thybulle continues shooting threes at that pace and knocking down three per game, his points prop for Tuesday night could be in a good position to cash.

  • Matisse Thybulle Over 6.5 Points (+105)

Most-Bet Trail Blazers vs. Lakers Player Props

Luka Dončić led the NBA in points per game last season and enters Tuesday’s action as the league’s leading scorer once again, averaging 34.3 points per game. It’s no surprise that multiple Dončić scoring props are featured among the top five most-bet player prop Overs and Unders as tip-off approaches:

  4. Damian Lillard – To Record 15+ Points (Over 14.5)

Trail Blazers vs. Lakers Preview for Tuesday Night

The Trail Blazers and Lakers have both started the 2026-27 season undefeated, but that will change for one of these teams Tuesday night. What better way to close out the day’s NBA action than with this Western Conference showdown?

The Trail Blazers were eliminated by eventual Western Conference champion San Antonio in the first round of last year’s playoffs but now have a new-look roster with hopes of making a deeper postseason run. Damian Lillard returned to Portland after spending two seasons in Milwaukee and missing the entire 2025-26 campaign due to injury. The Trail Blazers also acquired two-time All-Star guard Ja Morant in an offseason trade with Memphis.

This revamped Portland team is off to a hot start, averaging 126 points per game and notably holding Phoenix to just 83 points in its season opener. However, the Trail Blazers will have their hands full on the road against an undefeated Lakers team that’s averaging 128 points per game and features the NBA’s leading scorer.

Luka Dončić is coming off an incredible performance in Sunday’s 132-123 win over Sacramento. The 2025-26 scoring champion dropped a team-high 52 points while shooting 56.7% from the field.

We could be in store for a high-scoring offensive shootout Tuesday night in Los Angeles.
