Dana White’s Contender Series continues tonight with Week 8 of Season 10, bringing another five-fight card to the Meta APEX in Las Vegas as 10 more prospects compete for a chance to join the UFC roster.
The contract total has already reached 34 through the first seven episodes. Six more fighters earned UFC deals last Tuesday, including Callum Connor and Jaden Ortega, who became the first two fighters this season to receive contracts despite losing their bouts.
Week 8 features five undefeated prospects spread throughout the card. Former professional kickboxer Ilias Bulaid opens the night against Erick Visconde, while unbeaten strawweight Aieza Bertolso puts a 21-fight winning streak dating back to her amateur career on the line against Camila Reynoso.
Later in the evening, Ian Escuza takes his perfect professional record into a featherweight matchup with Luca Borando, and unbeaten heavyweight Zaurbek Sabanov faces Adama Diop.
The card closes at lightweight with undefeated English prospect George Staines facing Loai Abushaar, who has finished every opponent he has defeated as a professional.

DWCS Week 8 Preview
Tonight’s card includes two featherweight matchups, the first women’s strawweight fight of Season 10, a heavyweight clash and a lightweight finale between Staines and Abushaar.
Ilias Bulaid (-130) vs. Erick Visconde (+105)
Week 8 gets underway with two featherweights bringing differing levels of MMA experience into the Meta APEX.
Ilias Bulaid is 9-0 with one no contest since transitioning to MMA following an accomplished kickboxing career. The 31-year-old compiled a 25-6 professional kickboxing record before turning his attention to MMA.
That striking background has translated to five knockout or TKO victories in his nine professional MMA wins. Bulaid has also added a submission victory, giving him six finishes overall.
Erick Visconde enters with a 17-3 record and twice as many professional fights as his opponent. The Brazilian has finished 12 of his 17 victories, split evenly between six knockouts and six submissions.
All three of Visconde’s losses came while competing at bantamweight. He has since built momentum at featherweight and arrives in Las Vegas following consecutive LFA victories over Chris Mecate and Gustavo Pintos.
Aieza Bertolso (-475) vs. Camila Reynoso (+350)
The first women’s strawweight matchup of Season 10 features one of the longest active winning streaks on tonight’s card.
Aieza Bertolso enters at 7-0 as a professional and has won 21 consecutive bouts when her amateur career is included. The Brazilian was a two-time IMMAF world champion before turning professional and has continued that success through seven MMA fights.
Bertolso captured the LFA strawweight championship in her most recent appearance, submitting Edilania Silva with a second-round armbar in September 2025. Four of her seven professional victories have come by submission.
Camila Reynoso will attempt to end that run after putting together a three-fight winning streak of her own.
The 23-year-old Argentine is 9-1 as a professional, with her only defeat coming by decision. Reynoso was also among the final cuts during the selection process for the most recent season of The Ultimate Fighter before earning her opportunity on the Contender Series.
Luca Borando (-115) vs. Ian Escuza (-105)
Hard Rock Bet has Luca Borando and Ian Escuza separated by only 10 cents in the closest matchup on tonight’s card.
Escuza has won all seven of his professional fights, and none have reached the scorecards. The Peruvian featherweight has five victories by knockout or TKO and another two by submission.
His most recent appearance was especially brief. Escuza stopped Octavio Lopez with a body kick just 28 seconds into their June fight.
Borando brings a 9-1 record into the matchup and has eight finishes among those nine victories. The Italian has stopped five consecutive opponents heading into his Contender Series appearance.
Experience in Cage Warriors has made up a significant portion of Borando’s recent career. Each of his last eight fights has come with the promotion, including a first-round TKO of Leandro Camargo in July.
Zaurbek Sabanov (-375) vs. Adama Diop (+300)
The fourth heavyweight fight of Season 10 matches unbeaten Zaurbek Sabanov against Adama Diop.
Sabanov made his professional debut in 2023 and has yet to lose. The Russian comes from wrestling and Sanda backgrounds and has relied heavily on his finishing ability during his rise through the heavyweight ranks.
His latest appearance came in June, when he stopped Ivan Romanov with a body kick and follow-up punches in the first round.
Diop has considerably more professional experience at 6-1 and enters on a five-fight winning streak. Five of his six victories have ended by knockout or TKO.
The lone exception came in January, when Diop went five rounds to earn a unanimous decision over Prince Aounallah. He returned less than three months later and stopped Matunga Djikasa in the second round.
George Staines (-350) vs. Loai Abushaar (+260)
Lightweights close the show for the first time this season when unbeaten George Staines meets Loai Abushaar.
Staines built an extensive amateur résumé before beginning his professional career. He went 16-1 as an amateur, won an IMMAF European championship and earned a silver medal at the 2022 IMMAF World Championships.
The English lightweight now trains at Next Generation MMA Liverpool alongside UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett and has remained undefeated since turning professional.
Staines has already won twice in 2026. His latest victory came at Cage Warriors 207 in June, where he handed previously unbeaten Conor McCarthy his first professional loss with a second-round rear-naked choke.
Loai Abushaar offers a much different finishing profile on the other side.
The MMA Lab lightweight owns a 7-1 record, and all seven victories have ended before the judges were needed. He has four knockouts and three submissions and brings a four-fight winning streak into tonight’s matchup.
Three of those four wins came in the opening round. Abushaar most recently submitted Alejandro Quero with a Brabo choke in the third round in April.
