Dana White’s Contender Series 91 Odds & Full Card for Week 5

Dana White’s Contender Series reaches the midpoint of its 10th season tonight with five more fights at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas.

The first four weeks have produced 20 new additions to the UFC roster. Dana White awarded contracts to all five winners for the fourth consecutive episode last Tuesday, including Adam Livingston after his split-decision victory over Hunter Smith. The remaining four matchups ended by stoppage.

Week 5 introduces five undefeated prospects and features several competitors joining the lineup on short notice. Christian Natividad replaced Frank Silva against Colton Loud, while Isaac Moreno accepted a late opportunity to face Reginaldo Junior.

The main event brings together unbeaten light heavyweights Arlind Berisha and Quentin Pasley. Both fighters have ended every professional victory in the first round, and neither has been pushed into the second.

The five-fight card begins at 7:00 p.m. ET, with every matchup streaming live on Paramount+.

Martin Kozak enters as the biggest favorite on Tuesday’s card at -600. The closest matchup comes at welterweight, where Isaac Moreno is -130 against Reginaldo Junior:

Dana White’s Contender Series Week 5 Fight Card Preview

Tuesday’s card opens in the flyweight division before Berisha and Pasley close the show at light heavyweight.

Christian Natividad (-300) vs. Colton Loud (+240)

A late opponent change has given Christian Natividad an accelerated path to the Contender Series.

Natividad accepted the matchup after Frank Silva withdrew and arrives with a perfect 9-0 professional record. All nine appearances have taken place under the LFA banner, giving him consistent experience against established regional competition.

Known as “The Hawaiian Punch,” Natividad uses his wrestling to dictate where fights unfold and control opponents from advantageous positions. Six of his victories have reached the judges, while each of his three finishes came in the first round.

Natividad is also the younger brother of former UFC bantamweight Kevin Natividad, who earned his own opportunity with the promotion after competing for LFA.

Colton Loud presents a much different finishing profile. The 25-year-old is 7-1, and none of his professional victories have required a scorecard. Six ended in the opening round. He enters Week 5 following consecutive victories by D’Arce choke, responding emphatically after suffering the only loss of his career by the same technique.

The contrast is clear in the opening matchup: Natividad has repeatedly demonstrated that he can maintain his approach across three rounds, while Loud will attempt to turn his early aggression into another quick ending.

Won Il Kwon (-145) vs. Apollo Gomes (+115)

Won Il Kwon returns to the Meta APEX seeking a different outcome from his first Contender Series appearance.

Kwon faced Juan Diaz last October after spending much of his career with ONE Championship. The South Korean entered as the favorite but was knocked out by a spinning back elbow in the second round, allowing Diaz to secure a UFC contract.

That result followed Kwon’s unsuccessful ONE bantamweight title challenge against Fabricio Andrade, giving the 31-year-old consecutive knockout losses entering his second DWCS opportunity.

Kwon’s willingness to exchange has produced plenty of success throughout his career. He owns a 14-6 record, and 12 of his victories have come by knockout. Only one of his professional wins has reached the judges.

The same aggressive style has also exposed him defensively. Three of Kwon’s six defeats have ended by knockout or technical knockout.

Apollo Gomes enters with a 12-2 record and three consecutive victories. The 26-year-old Brazilian has accumulated five knockouts, four submissions and three decisions, providing a more balanced collection of finishing methods than his opponent.

Gomes most recently earned a split-decision victory over Zebenzui Ruiz in March. His previous two appearances produced a rear-naked choke and a third-round striking stoppage.

Both losses on Gomes’ record came by submission, but Kwon has built nearly his entire offensive résumé around his hands. That could keep much of Tuesday’s bantamweight matchup in the area where both fighters are most comfortable exchanging.

Martin Kozak (-600) vs. Christian Echols (+425)

No fighter on the Week 5 card enters as a heavier favorite than Martin Kozak.

The 24-year-old Slovakian middleweight is 6-0 with six finishes. Four victories have come by knockout and two by rear-naked choke, with Kozak stopping each of his three most recent opponents in the second round or later.

Kozak stands 6-foot-4, giving him unusual size for the middleweight division. He used that length effectively in April, finishing Lukasz Dziudzia with a front kick to the body in the third round to win the RFA middleweight championship.

Christian Echols stepped into the matchup after Kozak’s original opponent, Juan Cabrera, withdrew. The 28-year-old brings an 8-4 record and has never completed a professional fight without a stoppage.

Six of Echols’ victories have come by submission, while the other two ended by knockout. His most recognizable performance occurred under the Bellator banner in 2022, when he knocked out decorated wrestler Pat Downey as a significant underdog.

Echols has also been finished in all four defeats, including three losses by strikes. His most recent outing ended with a first-round knockout victory over Brian Jackson last November.

The difficult assignment became more complicated at Monday’s weigh-in. Echols registered at 189 pounds, three pounds above the non-title middleweight limit. The bout will continue as scheduled, but Echols will surrender a percentage of his purse.

Isaac Moreno (-130) vs. Reginaldo Junior (+105)

The closest matchup of the evening on paper belongs to a welterweight matchup between two fighters carrying lengthy winning streaks.

Isaac Moreno accepted the opportunity on short notice and arrives with an 8-0 professional record. Known as “Primetime,” Moreno has five knockout victories and three by decision.

A background in karate shapes Moreno’s patient striking approach. He operates effectively from range, waits for openings and has become increasingly successful at converting those opportunities into finishes.

Reginaldo Junior offers greater professional experience and more variety in how he can end a fight. The Brazilian is 11-1 with four knockouts and four submissions. He has also won five consecutive matchups since suffering the only loss of his career by decision in 2023.

His current streak includes four appearances for LFA. Junior most recently submitted Natanael de Souza Mota with a D’Arce choke late in the third round last November.

Moreno owns the cleaner record and a height advantage, but Junior has demonstrated finishing ability both standing and on the canvas. With neither fighter ever suffering a professional stoppage loss, the penultimate bout presents one of Week 5’s most difficult matchups to separate.

Arlind Berisha (-165) vs. Quentin Pasley (+130)

The Week 5 main event matches two towering light heavyweights who have made quick finishes the defining feature of their young careers.

Arlind Berisha enters undefeated, with every professional victory ending in the first round. Standing 6-foot-6, the Albanian prospect can control distance with long kicks and straight punches before capitalizing once an opponent is hurt or forced into a vulnerable position.

Four of Berisha’s five most recent victories ended in 72 seconds or less. His longest professional appearance lasted 4:36, meaning he has never reached the horn at the end of the opening round.

Quentin Pasley has been just as destructive since turning professional. The 6-foot-5 American is 3-0 with three first-round knockouts, continuing the momentum from an undefeated amateur career in which he collected multiple regional championships.

Pasley’s breakout performance came against Reylan Gracie at LFA 204. He connected with a flying switch knee and finished the fight in only 91 seconds.

The Connecticut native has since added another first-round stoppage, while also recording a knockout victory in professional boxing. His athleticism, speed and ability to close distance give him a way to neutralize Berisha’s usual size advantage.

With neither fighter accustomed to needing much time, the opening exchanges could determine who leaves the Meta APEX with a UFC contract.

Week 5 brings Season 10 to its halfway point, with five additional Tuesday cards scheduled before the finale on October 13.
