Mercedes Lead a Wide-Open Championship Fight

The 2026 season has delivered far more parity than fans have become accustomed to in recent years.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull are no longer overwhelming weekly favorites, McLaren continue showing race-winning pace, and Ferrari remain dangerous on the right track setup. Meanwhile, Mercedes’ resurgence has completely reshaped the title picture entering the Canadian Grand Prix weekend.

Russell’s consistency has made him one of the favorites for the Drivers’ Championship (+225), while Antonelli’s immediate speed and surprise success has made him the favorite for the title at +100.

Montreal Always Delivers Drama

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has long been one of the most unpredictable tracks in motorsports, blending long straights with tight braking zones and notoriously difficult walls that punish even the smallest mistakes.

With Sprint points also available this weekend, there’s even more at stake than usual as the championship battle continues tightening heading into the summer stretch of the season.

And for the first time in years, it feels like multiple teams enter the weekend believing they can win.
