What Kind of Game Is It?
MONOPOLY Live is built around a giant money wheel hosted by a live dealer in a purpose-built studio. The virtual MR. MONOPOLY sits alongside in the studio, waiting for the moments that send him into action.
The wheel is divided into 54 segments. Most are numbered 1, 2, 5, or 10, bet on a number and win at that number’s corresponding odds if the wheel stops there. But the more interesting segments are CHANCE, 2 ROLLS, and 4 ROLLS.
CHANCE Cards and Multipliers
When the wheel stops on CHANCE, MR. MONOPOLY draws a card. It either pays a random cash prize to all players at the table, or reveals a multiplier that stays active for the next spin.
If a multiplier is in play and the wheel hits CHANCE again, the multipliers compound. Land on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS with a multiplier in play and every prize in the Bonus game gets hit with it too.
The Bonus Game
Landing the wheel on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS sends MR. MONOPOLY into a fully rendered 3D MONOPOLY world. He walks the board square by square, and players who placed a bet on the triggering segment collect prizes at each stop he lands on. The number of squares he moves is determined by two dice rolled in the live studio.
Roll doubles and he gets an extra turn, exactly like the board game (the one exception: doubles out of Jail don’t extend the round). The Bonus game runs for a minimum of two or four rolls depending on how the wheel landed, and the prize meter builds with each stop until the rolls run out.
Any multipliers built up during the main wheel game carry into the Bonus round and apply to every prize MR. MONOPOLY collects along the way.
To collect Bonus game winnings, you need a bet on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS before the wheel is spun. Without one, you’ll watch the round but won’t take anything home from it.
How To Bet
The betting grid shows six options: 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 ROLLS, and 4 ROLLS. CHANCE doesn’t appear as a betting option because it pays all players automatically when it hits. You can bet on as many segments as you want each round.
Betting on the lower numbers (1 and 2) keeps you involved most rounds since they make up the majority of the wheel. Betting on 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS is lower frequency but puts you in line for the Bonus game when it triggers.
