The DP World Tour returns to Scotland this week for the 2026 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, with one of the tour’s most distinctive events bringing the field to three of the country’s most famous courses. The tournament begins Thursday, October 1 and runs through Sunday, October 4.
Players will rotate between the Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie Golf Links and Kingsbarns Golf Links over the first three rounds before the final round is played at St Andrews.
Matt Fitzpatrick Leads the Way
This week’s event follows the FedEx Open de France at Le Golf National, where Matt Fitzpatrick finished at 20-under to lock up a three-stroke victory. The win marked Fitzpatrick’s 15th as a professional and 11th on the European tour.
Fitzpatrick (+850) now heads to Scotland as the favorite to win for the second consecutive week at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, and he’s already proven he can win this event. Fitzpatrick won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in 2023, taking both the individual title and the team competition alongside his mother, Susan.
Tommy Fleetwood (+1100) is next on the odds board. Fleetwood is still searching for his first individual victory at this event, but few players in this year’s field have been more consistent here. He’s finished runner-up twice, placed third once and recorded seven top-10 finishes at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
Tyrrell Hatton (+1400) and Robert MacIntyre (+1400) share the next-shortest odds, and both come in with plenty of recent success at this event.
MacIntyre is the defending champion after winning the weather-shortened 2025 edition at 18-under. High winds reduced last year’s tournament to 54 holes, and MacIntyre closed with a 66 at the Old Course to finish four strokes ahead of Hatton.
Hatton, meanwhile, has put together the strongest track record of any player in Alfred Dunhill Links Championship history. The Englishman won consecutive titles in 2016 and 2017 before adding a third victory in 2024, becoming the first three-time champion in tournament history.

Nine former Alfred Dunhill Links champions are listed in this week’s field.
Padraig Harrington (+50000) owns the oldest victories among the former champs, having won in both 2002 and 2006. Lee Westwood (+15000) won in 2003, while Branden Grace (+5000) captured the title in 2012.
Oliver Wilson (+250000) followed with a victory in 2014 before Hatton began his run with back-to-back titles in 2016 and 2017.
Victor Perez (+5000) won in 2019, Danny Willett (+50000) took the title in 2021 and Fitzpatrick won in 2023 before Hatton and MacIntyre claimed the last two editions.
