The PGA Tour heads to southern Utah this week for the 2026 Bank of Utah Championship, with the FedExCup Fall season continuing at Black Desert Resort in Ivins. The tournament runs from October 1-4, with a 120-player field competing for a $6 million purse and 500 FedExCup points.
This event is the second of eight tournaments on the FedExCup Fall calendar, where players outside the top 50 can continue earning points as they compete for PGA Tour status and other opportunities for the 2027 season.
This week’s stop in Utah comes immediately after the Presidents Cup at Medinah Country Club, where the United States and International Team put individual competition aside for four days of team golf.
The USA entered Sunday trailing the International Team 10.5-7.5 before taking 9.5 of the 12 available points in singles play to complete a 17-13 comeback victory. Jackson Koivun was a key part of the rally in his international team debut, and he now heads directly to Utah as the favorite to win this week at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.
2026 Bank of Utah Championship Odds
Koivun (+1100) leads the way on the odds board, with Ben James, Maverick McNealy and defending champion Michael Brennan all coming in next at +1750.
Brennan returns to Black Desert after winning by four shots at 22-under last year, while James enters the week with consecutive top-three finishes in his last two PGA Tour starts. James placed third at the Wyndham Championship before returning for the start of the fall schedule and finishing runner-up at the Biltmore Championship Asheville.
Matt Wallace (+2250) and Marco Penge (+2250) make up the next tier on the board after remaining active overseas in recent weeks, while Doug Ghim (+2500) is the only other player priced shorter than 30-1.
Max Homa (+4000) and Rasmus Højgaard (+4000) are among the notable names at 40-1, while 2024 champion Matt McCarty (+4000) is back at Black Desert after following his victory in the inaugural event with a T3 finish last year.
Speaking of which, last year’s runner-up Rico Hoey (+5000) is also back after finishing four shots behind Brennan, while Stephan Jaeger (+5000) has put together two strong appearances at Black Desert. Jaeger finished runner-up behind McCarty in 2024 before logging a T11 finish in last season’s rendition.
