Real Madrid has a chance to tie La Liga leader and defending champion Barcelona atop the standings with 15 points if it can secure its fifth win of the season. However, Barcelona currently holds a +7 goal differential advantage over Real Madrid heading into Tuesday’s action. Real Madrid manager José Mourinho also has a decision to make regarding his lineup and rotation, as this isn’t necessarily a high-profile matchup with Elche sitting 19th out of 20 teams in the standings, especially with Real Madrid facing Atlético Madrid in the Madrid Derby on Sunday.
Elche hasn’t gotten off to the start it hoped for in the 2026-27 season and is still searching for its first win.
