Dana White’s Contender Series returns tonight with five matchups and another group of prospects looking to turn one big performance into a place on the UFC roster.
Season 10 has produced 24 contracts through its first five episodes. Four were awarded last Tuesday after Quentin Pasley, Isaac Moreno, Martin Kozak and Christian Natividad won their respective matchups. Apollo Gomes also earned a victory but was not offered a contract.
Week 6 features three undefeated fighters, a returning Contender Series competitor and one of the most accomplished prospects to appear this season. Lightweight Akbar Abdullaev brings a 13-0 record and a perfect finishing rate into his matchup with short-notice replacement Ednilson Santos.
The main event will be fought at welterweight, as Ecuador’s Mayton Perea meets unbeaten American Zevan Hunt. Perea has finished every opponent he has defeated, while Hunt has six stoppages among his seven professional wins.
All 10 competitors successfully made weight for the five-fight card, which begins at 7:00 p.m. ET from the Meta APEX in Las Vegas. Every matchup will stream live on Paramount+.
Dana White’s Contender Series Week 6 Odds at Hard Rock Bet
Akbar Abdullaev is the largest favorite on the board at -3000. The night’s narrowest price comes in the main event, with Mayton Perea listed at -125 and Zevan Hunt available at -105.

DWCS Week 6 Preview
Featherweights jumpstart the action before Perea and Hunt close the night in a welterweight main event.
Tyshawn Williams (-325) vs. Antonio Monteiro (+220)
Tyshawn Williams puts his undefeated record on the line against an opponent with three times as much professional experience.
Williams is 8-0 since making his professional debut in 2022. The Baltimore native now trains at Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas and has finished five opponents, including four by knockout or technical knockout.
His latest appearance came at Tuff-N-Uff 151 in January, when he stopped Khabibullo Azizov in the first round. That performance continued a steady climb through regional promotions including Tuff-N-Uff and Shogun Fights.
Antonio Monteiro arrives with an 18-5-1 record and one no contest. The 31-year-old Brazilian represents Nova União and has collected victories by knockout, submission and decision during a career that began in 2016. Monteiro has never lost by knockout or technical knockout. Four of his defeats reached the scorecards, while the other ended by submission.
This will be Monteiro’s second attempt to earn a contract. He previously competed on the Contender Series in 2024 and lost by decision. He responded by submitting Savio de Souza with a first-round rear-naked choke in June 2025, although he has not competed since that victory.
Hugo Guillon (-190) vs. Luis Hernandez (+145)
A considerable size difference shapes the first of two middleweight matchups on the card.
Hugo Guillon stands 6-foot-4 and enters with a 7-1 record and one no contest. The French prospect has won six consecutive fights since suffering his only professional defeat in 2022.
Six of Guillon’s seven victories have ended early. He has recorded four wins by knockout or technical knockout and two by submission, showing that his finishing ability is not limited to one phase of a fight.
Guillon last competed in November 2025, extending his winning streak with another victory inside the distance. His height allows him to attack from range, but he has also shown a willingness to pursue submissions when fights reach the canvas.
Luis Hernandez is 7-0 with seven finishes. The Miami-based fighter has stopped three opponents with strikes and submitted four others, giving him multiple ways to end a matchup once he closes the distance.
Hernandez produced one of the quickest finishes on either fighter’s record at Titan FC 83, landing a head kick just three seconds into his matchup with Brian Topp. His résumé also includes three rear-naked chokes and a standing guillotine.
Akbar Abdullaev (-3000) vs. Ednilson Santos (+1200)
No matchup on the Week 6 card carries a wider difference in price than the lightweight meeting between Akbar Abdullaev and Ednilson Santos.
Abdullaev is 13-0, and none of his professional fights have required a decision. The Kyrgyzstan native has earned 12 victories by knockout or technical knockout and one by submission.
Much of Abdullaev’s résumé was built in ONE Championship. His run with the promotion included stoppage wins over Oh Ho Taek, Aaron Canarte, Halil Amir and Tang Kai.
The victory over Tang came in the fifth round of a scheduled title fight in January 2025. Abdullaev was ineligible to win the championship after failing ONE’s weight and hydration requirements, but he still stopped the reigning champion.
Tuesday represents a move to the UFC’s 155-pound lightweight division, and Abdullaev made weight at exactly 155 pounds.
Ednilson Santos accepted the fight after original opponent Anthony Figueroa withdrew. The Brazilian received the opportunity with less than one week to prepare specifically for Abdullaev, although he was already training for a scheduled LFA appearance.
Santos owns a 14-7-1 record and has competed professionally more than 20 times. He most recently defeated Shaheen Santana by decision at LFA 233 in May.
Igor Cavalcanti (-275) vs. Oscar Ravello (+200)
Igor Cavalcanti returns to the Contender Series with yet another opportunity to earn a UFC contract.
The Brazilian middleweight is 13-2 with a finish in every victory. Ten opponents have fallen by knockout or technical knockout, while three were defeated by submission.
Cavalcanti first appeared on the Contender Series in 2024, losing a decision to Seok Hyeon Ko. It remains his only professional fight that has reached the judges.
Following a submission loss in November 2025, Cavalcanti rebounded with consecutive first-round knockouts. His latest victory came against Marek Jakimowicz in May, giving him a two-fight winning streak entering Tuesday.
Oscar Ravello also arrives with consecutive victories. The Peruvian is 13-3-1 and has finished 10 of his 13 wins, including seven by strikes and three by submission.
Ravello most recently defeated Fernando Ataide Gomes with a first-round arm-triangle choke in April. That result demonstrated the grappling option available to him against an opponent who has suffered one of his two losses by submission.
Mayton Perea (-125) vs. Zevan Hunt (-105)
The Week 6 main event pairs Perea’s perfect finishing record with Hunt’s unbeaten professional résumé.
Mayton Perea is 8-3 and has never needed the judges in any of his 11 professional appearances. The Ecuadorian has five victories by knockout or technical knockout and three by submission. His three losses also ended inside the distance, including two by submission and one by knockout.
Perea enters on a three-fight winning streak after stopping Wellington Madeira with strikes in May. At 6-foot-2 with a listed 75-inch reach, he holds measurable height and reach advantages over Hunt. He initially came in above the welterweight allowance at Monday’s weigh-in but returned to the scale at 171 pounds, making the fight official.
Zevan Hunt is 7-0 with three knockout victories, three submissions and one decision. He has competed primarily on the Oklahoma regional circuit while training with American Elite MMA.
Hunt’s most recent performance produced one of the more distinctive finishes on the card. He submitted Devin Smyth with a second-round kneebar in March, extending his streak of stoppage victories to three.
The matchup presents a direct conflict between Perea’s preferred striking range and Hunt’s strongest work on the ground. Perea owns the longer frame and more proven one-shot power, while Hunt has the submission ability to attack an area responsible for two of Perea’s three defeats.
Remaining Dana White’s Contender Series Season 10 Dates
Tonight begins the second half of the 10-week season. Four additional Tuesday cards are scheduled after Week 6, with the finale set for October 13.
Each remaining episode will take place at the Meta APEX and feature another lineup of fighters seeking UFC contracts.
