The PGA Tour postseason continues this week as the 2026 BMW Championship heads to Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri. The top 50 players remaining in the FedExCup standings will compete in the second of three playoff events, with only the top 30 advancing to next week’s TOUR Championship at East Lake. A $20 million purse is up for grabs, while the winner will take home $3.6 million and 750 FedExCup points.

Bellerive will host the BMW Championship for the first time since 2008 and a PGA Tour event for the first time since the 2018 PGA Championship. The par-70 course will play at 7,448 yards this week, with a field featuring many of the biggest names in golf competing for a spot in the season finale.

Last week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship saw Scottie Scheffler put together one of his most dominant performances of the season, finishing 17-under and eight shots clear of runner-up Si Woo Kim to lock up his second win of the season. Scheffler now makes the trip to Bellerive as both the winner of the opening FedEx Cup Playoffs event and the defending BMW champion, setting up another week in which the World No. 1 sits well clear of the rest of the field in terms of odds.

The Favorite

Scheffler enters the week as an overwhelming +275 favorite at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook, nearly half the +500 price he opened with for last week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship. Scheffler fired a second-round 61 in Memphis and never looked back, eventually cruising to his eight-shot victory.

Scheffler also arrives in St. Louis looking to defend his BMW Championship title after winning last year’s event at Caves Valley Golf Club, where he entered the final round four shots behind Robert MacIntyre before closing with a 67 to finish 15-under and win by two strokes.

The Contenders

Rory McIlroy and Sam Burns share the second-shortest odds at +1600, followed closely by Tommy Fleetwood, Xander Schauffele and Ludvig Åberg at +1750.

Burns heads to Bellerive with plenty of momentum after finishing T3 at 8-under in Memphis, while Fleetwood, Schauffele and Åberg all finished T7 at 6-under. Fleetwood also finished T4 at last year’s BMW Championship, while Åberg recorded a top-10 finish.

McIlroy represents the outlier among this group after struggling throughout the opening playoff event. The three-time FedExCup champion finished 66th at 8-over in Memphis, 25 shots behind Scheffler, but still enters the BMW tied with Burns for the second-shortest odds on the board.

Other Notables to Consider

Matt Fitzpatrick and Cameron Young headline the next tier at +2250, followed by Hideki Matsuyama and Viktor Hovland at +2500. Matsuyama continued his strong recent form with a T7 finish at 6-under last week, while Hovland carded a second-round 64 on his way to another solid showing in Memphis.

The +3000 group features several big names in Wyndham Clark, Si Woo Kim, Patrick Cantlay and Chris Gotterup. Si Woo put together the best performance of the group last week, finishing runner-up to Scheffler at 9-under, while Clark finished T5 at 7-under and Cantlay posted a T12 finish.

Bellerive hasn’t hosted a PGA Tour event since the 2018 PGA Championship, but several golfers deeper on the board enjoyed success the last time the course welcomed one of the strongest fields in golf. Justin Thomas (+4000) finished T6 at 10-under in 2018, while Adam Scott (+6000) logged a solo third at 13-under, just three shots behind champion Brooks Koepka. Scott also enters this week with some momentum after a T12 performance in Memphis.

Rickie Fowler (+6000) is another player with solid history at Bellerive after finishing T12 at 8-under in 2018. Gary Woodland (+7500) was even better that week, opening with rounds of 64 and 66 before ultimately finishing T6 at 10-under.
