Wednesday’s MLB slate features Game 2 of a three-game interleague set between two first-place teams. The NL East-leading Atlanta Braves (21-9) host the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers (15-15) at Truist Park.

The Braves picked up a 5-2 win in Tuesday night’s series opener behind five strong shutout innings from Martín Pérez, along with offensive production from Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, and Ozzie Albies.

Atlanta’s lineup will face a much tougher challenge Wednesday night, as reigning back-to-back AL Cy Young winner and current 2026 favorite Tarik Skubal is scheduled to take the mound for Detroit. The elite left-hander will be opposed by 22-year-old Braves right-hander JR Ritchie, who made his MLB debut on April 23 with seven impressive innings and his first career win against the Washington Nationals.
