Hard Rock Bet brought together two sports icons on Wednesday as Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin and Colombian soccer legend Carlos “El Pibe” Valderrama surprised fans during the one-day “Super Sub Shop” takeover at La Sandwicherie in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood.
Photos, Autographs, and Free Subs
Throughout the day, Irvin and Valderrama stepped behind the counter to greet guests, pose for photos, sign autographs, and personally hand out World Cup-inspired “Super Subs.” 1,000 complimentary sandwiches were distributed as fans packed La Sandwicherie to meet the two legends and celebrate the world’s biggest soccer tournament.
The activation also featured music, branded giveaways, and interactive fan experiences that brought together soccer, football, and Miami culture in the heart of Wynwood.
Since opening its original South Beach location in 1988, La Sandwicherie has become a Miami institution, making it a fitting venue for Hard Rock Bet’s one-day takeover celebrating the city’s passion for sports and its place on the global soccer stage.
Super Sub: Not Just A Sandwich
The “Super Sub Shop” celebrated Miami’s role as a World Cup host city, transforming one of the city’s most iconic sandwich destinations into a soccer-themed fan experience. The activation also served as a playful nod to one of Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook’s most popular soccer promotions: Super Sub.
