The property-trading classic MONOPOLY Live now has a live dealer version at Hard Rock Bet Online Casino in Michigan.
Produced by Evolution, MONOPOLY Live is available to Michigan players following its recent debut in New Jersey, and it pairs a big money wheel with a bonus round that plays out on a 3D take of the famous board.
How MONOPOLY Live Works
MONOPOLY Live runs on a vertical wheel split into 54 segments, spun by a live dealer from an Evolution studio. Standing beside the wheel is the animated MR. MONOPOLY, top hat and all, who jumps into action whenever the round calls for him.
Most segments carry a number: 1, 2, 5 or 10. Pick a number, and if the wheel stops there you get paid at those odds, so a winning 10 returns 10 to 1. The rest of the wheel is where things get interesting, with segments marked CHANCE, 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS.
CHANCE, Cash and Multipliers
When the flapper lands on a CHANCE segment, MR. MONOPOLY pulls a card. That card either hands every player at the table a random cash prize or reveals a multiplier of 2x, 5x or 10x that stays live for the next spin.
Multipliers are how a normal round turns into a big one. If a multiplier is active and the wheel finds CHANCE again, the values stack on top of each other. And if the next spin lands on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS, that multiplier follows you straight into the bonus round and boosts everything you collect there.
Triggering the Bonus Round
Land the wheel on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS and the screen opens up into a fully rendered 3D MONOPOLY board. MR. MONOPOLY sets off walking around it, and the number of spaces he moves is decided by a pair of dice rolled in the studio.
Every property, railroad and utility gets a random multiplier before he starts, and he banks whatever he lands on as he goes. Roll doubles and he earns an extra move, just like the tabletop game, though doubles used to break out of Jail do not count. A 2 ROLLS trigger can run up to six rolls and a 4 ROLLS trigger up to ten.
One thing worth remembering: you only take home bonus winnings if you had a bet on the segment that triggered it. With no bet on 2 ROLLS or 4 ROLLS, you can watch MR. MONOPOLY make his rounds, but the prizes will not be yours.
Placing Bets
The betting grid gives you six spots: 1, 2, 5, 10, 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS. You will not find CHANCE there because it pays the whole table automatically when it hits. You are free to cover as many segments as you like in a single round.
The low numbers show up most often on the wheel, so backing 1 or 2 keeps you in the action round after round. Betting 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS hits less frequently but is your ticket onto the bonus board when the wheel cooperates. Table limits run from $1 to $10,000.
