Best Player Prop and Touchdown Bets for Steelers vs. Saints

Below are two of the best player prop bets for Sunday’s game, including an anytime touchdown wager, using football betting insights and trends from the Stats Hub at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook to support our Steelers vs. Saints predictions:

Pat Freiermuth Anytime Touchdown (+275)

The Stats Hub notes that Pat Freiermuth has scored at least one touchdown in three of the Steelers’ last four games as favorites, as they are on Sunday. While he leads the Steelers with four touchdown receptions this season, he hasn’t been a major factor in the offense outside of that production. However, he does face a favorable matchup against the Saints.

New Orleans’ defense hasn’t played particularly well across the board so far this season and enters Sunday tied for the most points allowed per game at 29.7. Freiermuth may not be putting up a ton of receiving yards, but the Saints are allowing both yards and points, meaning his red-zone presence could give him opportunities to find the end zone.

  • Pat Freiermuth Anytime Touchdown (+275)

Juwan Johnson Over 3.5 Receptions (-115)

From one tight end to another. Unlike New Orleans, Pittsburgh features a very strong defense, meaning the Saints may not have a ton of offensive success Sunday.

However, just because the Saints might not put up a lot of points or yards doesn’t mean individual players can’t find success. Saints quarterback Tyler Shough is still relatively inexperienced at the NFL level, and a quarterback’s best friend when things get tough can often be a tight end.

Enter Juwan Johnson. Johnson had a career year last season and is off to another solid start in 2026 through the first six weeks. The veteran ranks third on the team in targets, receptions, and receiving yards and is tied with fellow tight end Noah Fant for the team lead in touchdown receptions with three apiece.

Johnson may not record 100 receiving yards against this Steelers defense, but he could benefit from being Shough’s safety blanket and a reliable option on quick, short passes throughout the game. He’s been consistent, and the Stats Hub notes that Johnson has recorded three or more receptions in 16 of the Saints’ last 17 games.

  • Juwan Johnson Over 3.5 Receptions (-115)

Steelers vs. Saints Preview for Week 7

The Steelers are hoping their trip overseas doesn’t cool them off as they look to extend their winning streak to three games Sunday. It was a bit of a scare last week on the road in Tampa Bay against undrafted rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels and the Buccaneers, but Pittsburgh ultimately prevailed with a 26-19 overtime win.

The Steelers found themselves trailing 13-3 at halftime after a frustrating first half. Their first six possessions ended with a punt, interception, turnover on downs, punt, missed field goal, and another punt. It wasn’t until Pittsburgh’s final possession of the half that it scored points, thanks to a 52-yard field goal by veteran kicker Chris Boswell.

The second half was a much different story for the Steelers. While they punted on both possessions in the third quarter, Pittsburgh scored 16 fourth-quarter points and had a chance to win 19-16. However, the Steelers allowed Tampa Bay to get into field goal range with under a minute and a half remaining, and the Buccaneers sent the game to overtime with a 53-yard field goal.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers found rookie wide receiver Germie Bernard for a six-yard touchdown catch in overtime, and the Steelers’ defense kept Tampa Bay out of the end zone. The final play was a sack by veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey to secure the comeback win.

The Saints have had a bit of a roller-coaster season, starting with a 31-30 overtime loss to Detroit before responding with a massive Week 2 win over Baltimore. However, New Orleans then suffered three straight losses before bouncing back with a win over the New York Giants last week, which the Saints hope will get them back on track.

Saints quarterback Tyler Shough played a solid game against the Giants, throwing three touchdown passes without a turnover while also getting the job done with his legs, adding a rushing touchdown to his stat line. It wasn’t a masterful offensive performance for New Orleans by any means, but the defense came up big with five sacks and four forced turnovers.

Shough and the Saints’ offense will face a tougher matchup against a very good Steelers defense, so New Orleans’ defense must put together another strong performance. However, as we mentioned earlier, the Saints haven’t been particularly strong defensively this season.
