Odds calculator terminology
- Stake Amount ($) – The amount of the bet.
- Profit Boost (%) – Have a boost? Add the percentage to see how it will effect your payout.
- American odds – These are expressed as either a positive number (ex. +150) or a negative number (ex. -120). Positive odds must be greater than +100, while negative odds are less than -100. When entering positive odds into the calculator, the (+) sign is optional.
- Decimal odds – Decimal odds are written simply as a positive number greater than 1.
- Fractional odds – Fractional odds are listed as, well, a fraction. For example, 10/1, 7/2, etc.
- Profit: The amount of profit that a successful bet at the chosen stake and odds would return. This number excludes the amount of the wager (stake amount).
- Total Return: The total amount of cash that the bet will pay out. This includes the original wager plus the profit.
- Implied probability: The probability of a wager at the selected odds succeeding. Expressed as a percentage.
