MNF Touchdown Predictions: The Best NFL TD Bets for Monday Night – Bears vs. Eagles

Happy Monday! We have a fun NFL matchup to close out Week 3 as the Eagles travel to Soldier Field to take on the Bears.Philadelphia is 2-0, but the Eagles have needed a pair of thrilling one-score wins to get there. They escaped the Commanders in Week 1, then put together a game-winning drive against the Titans last week. Now, they head to Chicago (1-1) as short road favorites in a game many expect to stay competitive.

Caleb Williams is out with a hamstring injury, and Case Keenum is expected to start for Chicago. That certainly changes the outlook for the Bears, but it also creates a few interesting touchdown angles.

I’m looking at one Bears skill player who should be a security blanket for Keenum, plus two Eagles receivers who can exploit a Chicago defense that has shown a willingness to play man coverage.

Let’s get into my favorite touchdown picks for Monday night at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.

The Best Bears vs. Eagles Touchdown Props for MNF

MNF Touchdown Pick: Colston Loveland (+325)

I’ll start on the Bears’ side with Colston Loveland, who is a really interesting long-shot touchdown bet at better than 3-1.

Loveland has not put up huge numbers yet, but I’m not ready to panic about that. Week 1 was an absolute offensive explosion for Chicago, as the Bears scored nearly 60 points, and somehow Loveland barely showed up in the box score.

Then, last week turned into a complete mess because of the weather, the quarterback situation, and a game that finished with fewer than 20 total points.

I’m willing to throw both games out to an extent.

The playing time is the part that matters most for this prop. Loveland is leading all Bears skill-position players with an 86% snap share through two weeks. That is 20 percentage points higher than the next closest player, Rome Odunze.

He’s also on the field when Chicago gets close to the end zone. Loveland has played 26 of the Bears’ 30 offensive snaps inside the 20-yard line and 14 of 17 snaps inside the 10.

That is exactly what we want to see when betting touchdowns. The production has not followed yet, but Loveland is playing nearly every meaningful snap and rarely leaves the field in scoring territory.

Now, Case Keenum is expected to get the start with Caleb Williams sidelined. That could mean a dip in efficiency for Chicago, but it also could lead Keenum to lean on a big-bodied target over the middle of the field.

Loveland is talented enough to be a security blanket and dangerous enough to turn a five-yard catch into a splash play. He can create a mismatch against linebackers and safeties, and he has the type of athleticism that gives him a real chance to score every time the Bears get inside the red zone.

The Eagles are tough defensively, so I am not expecting Chicago to light up the scoreboard. But the Bears are at home and only modest underdogs, which means they should have chances to move the ball and stay in this game.

At +325, I think this is a really nice number for a player who is on the field all the time and has already established himself as Chicago’s most reliable high-leverage option in the passing game.

Monday TD Prediction: DeVonta Smith (+175)

Now, we’ll head to the Eagles’ side, where DeVonta Smith stands out at +175.

Smith is starting to look like Philadelphia’s alpha pass catcher. There is still a lot of season left, but Smith’s early-season role has been massive.

He’s played all six of Philadelphia’s snaps inside the 10-yard line, both snaps inside the 5, and 16 of 17 snaps inside the 20.

The matchup makes this even more appealing. Chicago has played man coverage at the second-highest rate through two weeks, checking in above 40%.

That’s a small sample, but it was not just one game skewing the data. The Bears have consistently shown a willingness to line up in man and ask their defensive backs to win one-on-one.

That should play into Smith’s hands.

Smith has maintained a solid 23% target share against man coverage last year in an offense with A.J. Brown and a healthy Dallas Goedert. There are fewer mouths to feed now, and he can separate quickly, win routes in tight spaces, and he is one of the league’s more dangerous deep threats.

Surprisingly, Jalen Hurts has also been really good against man coverage. Dating back to the start of last season, Hurts ranks second in passing touchdowns (20) against man despite ranking just 13th in attempts against that coverage. He also has the highest deep-throw rate in the NFL among quarterbacks who have made at least 10 starts, at a tick above 20%.

The Bears have been vulnerable defensively, and I think the Eagles will have opportunities to open things up through the air.

At +175, Smith is my favorite touchdown bet on Philadelphia’s side.

MNF TD Prop: Dontayvion Wicks (+300)

Dontayvion Wicks is the other Eagles receiver I want to target.

Wicks has exceeded expectations early in the season. Rookie Makai Lemon had a late start to camp and has taken some time to get fully up to speed, which has opened the door for Wicks to carve out a meaningful role in the offense.

I’m not sure Wicks is a long-term No. 2 receiver in an ideal world. But he is a reliable player, he can win outside, and he’s been the perfect bridge while Lemon continues to develop.

This is another matchup where Chicago’s man coverage is a huge part of the handicap.

Wicks posted a better-than-24% win rate against man coverage last season with Green Bay. He can win in man coverage, and that gives him a chance to make a big play.

The Eagles should be able to run the ball. Chicago has allowed a lot of yards before contact per attempt, which means Philadelphia may find success attacking the front seven. But that run-game success can also create opportunities for Sean Mannion and the passing game to take shots off play action.

If the Bears begin to sell out against the run, Wicks could see favorable one-on-one looks on the perimeter.

At +300, I think Wicks is a worthwhile plus-money dart in a matchup that fits his strengths.
