The Philadelphia Phillies (69-58) look to stay hot Wednesday night as they wrap up a three-game divisional series against the Miami Marlins (64-63) with a sweep on the line and a chance to extend their winning streak to six games.

The Phillies hung on for a 6-5 win in Monday’s series opener and earned a 6-4 victory Tuesday night thanks in large part to a four-run sixth inning highlighted by a go-ahead two-RBI single from Bryson Stott. Philadelphia now holds a 7-5 edge over the Marlins in the season series and owns the second National League Wild Card spot, while Miami has lost four of its last six games and finds itself four games back of a Wild Card spot.

Veteran right-hander Aaron Nola is scheduled to start for the Phillies in Wednesday night’s series finale, and although his season numbers don’t look great, he has posted a 2.91 ERA since July 28 and recorded 17 strikeouts over his last two outings. Former NL Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcántara will take the mound for the Marlins as he looks to stay dominant, owning a 0.33 ERA over his last four starts and a 1.58 ERA since the All-Star break.

The Stats Hub at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook offers a plethora of baseball betting insights and trends each and every day, so make sure to check it out for picks like the one below while placing wagers for Wednesday night’s Marlins vs. Phillies game:

Phillies vs. Marlins Best Bet: Alec Bohm Over 0.5 RBIs (+180)

Alec Bohm is a polarizing figure in the eyes of Philadelphia fans, but he’s been on fire in August. Bohm is hitting .377, the second-highest batting average in MLB, with 12 RBIs this month, including eight over his last four games.

His RBI single in the eighth inning of Monday’s series opener gave the Phillies a much-needed insurance run, and he followed that with an RBI single in the first inning Tuesday before adding an RBI double to kick off Philadelphia’s four-run sixth inning. Bohm’s 71 RBIs this season are the third-most on the team. It helps when you typically have guys like Kyle Schwarber, Bryce Harper, Luis Arráez, and sometimes Bryson Stott hitting in front of you.

Schwarber’s 80 walks this year are the fifth-most in MLB, while his .365 on-base percentage is well above average. Harper’s 90 walks this season are tied for the most in the majors, and his .380 on-base percentage is the eighth-highest among all qualified players. Harper has been even hotter in August, batting .309 while drawing the most walks (24) and recording the highest on-base percentage (.519) in MLB for the month. Arráez is a three-time batting champion, and his .317 batting average is currently the highest in the National League and second-highest in the majors. Stott doesn’t always hit in front of Bohm, but like Harper, he’s also enjoying an incredible August, as his .357 batting average is the fifth-highest in MLB, while his 18 walks and .514 on-base percentage both rank second to only Harper for the month.

The other factors that went into this pick are Bohm’s career success against both the Marlins and Sandy Alcántara. Bohm is a career .305 hitter with 50 RBIs against Miami during the regular season, including batting .333 with 12 RBIs in 12 games against the Fish so far this year. He owns a .378 batting average with eight RBIs against Alcántara specifically in his career and went 2-for-3 with an RBI single against him on June 17 before going 1-for-2 with a single and a walk more recently on July 28.

Alcántara has allowed only one run over his last four starts, but the Phillies are averaging seven runs per game over their last five, and it’s also safe to say Bohm has had his number.
