The Carolina Panthers host the Detroit Lions on Sunday night at Bank of America Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC.
Carolina enters Week 4 at 1-2 after coming up three points short in Cleveland last Sunday. The Panthers have already experienced three very different games this season, opening with a 59-37 loss to Chicago before routing Atlanta 34-3 and then falling 21-18 to the Browns.
One constant has been the production of Bryce Young. The fourth-year quarterback has thrown for 939 yards through three games, including at least 287 in each start, giving Carolina a passing game that has consistently moved the ball even as the results have fluctuated.
Detroit arrives in Charlotte at 2-1 with one of the league’s most productive offenses through September. The Lions have scored exactly 31 points in all three games, while Jared Goff has completed 70.6% of his passes for 802 yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions. Jahmyr Gibbs has added 463 yards from scrimmage and six total touchdowns.
Those offenses give us plenty to work with in the player prop market, including a Lions reciever who hasn’t been kept out of the end zone yet this season.
Lions vs. Panthers Best Player Prop Bets and Predictions
Hard Rock Bet’s Stats Hub is loaded with player streaks, trends and matchup data for every game throughout the NFL season. For Sunday Night Football, we’re looking at active streaks on both sides:
Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime Touchdown (-130)
There hasn’t been a game this season in which Amon-Ra St. Brown hasn’t found the end zone.
Stats Hub noted that St. Brown has scored at least one touchdown in all three games – he caught two touchdowns against New Orleans in the opener, added two more at Buffalo and scored again last week against the Jets.
That gives him five receiving touchdowns on only 23 catches. Even when the Jets limited St. Brown to four receptions and 19 yards, Goff still connected with him for a score.
This week also brings a major change to the defense trying to cover him. Carolina placed starting cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson on injured reserve after both were hurt against Cleveland. The Panthers finished that game using a collection of younger defensive backs and will have to reorganize the position against a Detroit offense that has thrown eight touchdown passes already.
St. Brown has accounted for five of those eight passing scores himself. At -130, I’m backing Goff’s top target to get into the end zone again against a depleted Carolina secondary missing both of its starting outside corners.
- Best Prop Bet for Detroit: Amon-Ra St. Brown Anytime TD (-130)
Bryce Young Over 248.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Hard Rock Bet’s Stats Hub noted that Young has thrown for at least 264 yards in five consecutive games, a streak that stretches back to last season.
He hasn’t come particularly close to falling below Sunday’s number in 2026. Young opened the year with 361 passing yards against Chicago, followed with 287 at Atlanta and threw for another 291 in Cleveland last week. Through three games, he’s averaging 313 passing yards.
There is also a potential game-script angle here. Detroit has scored 31 points every week and has produced at least 374 total yards in all three games. Carolina has already shown that it is willing to put a game on Young’s arm when necessary; he attempted 48 passes in last week’s loss to Cleveland.
Carolina will be without Xavier Legette on Sunday, and Jalen Coker is questionable, so the receiving group won’t be at full strength. But Young has been clearing this number regardless of opponent or game result, and the Panthers could once again need substantial passing volume to keep pace with Detroit.
He can fall more than 60 yards short of his season average and still get Over 248.5. I’ll back Young to extend his run of 250+ yard performances under the Sunday night lights at home.
- Best Prop Bet for Carolina: Bryce Young Over 248.5 Passing Yards (-115)
