The New York Liberty head to Indianapolis on Tuesday night to face Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell and the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, less than a month after their last visit ended in a 20-point loss.
A lot has changed for New York since then.
The Liberty were mired in a 3-8 stretch when Indiana handed them a 108-88 defeat on July 18, but they’ve responded by winning seven of their next eight games. New York enters Tuesday at 20-13 and riding a four-game winning streak, with recent victories over the Las Vegas Aces, Seattle Storm and Phoenix Mercury.
Indiana hasn’t slowed down much, either. The Fever are now 20-12 after winning eight of their last 11 games and have blossomed into one of the WNBA’s most dangerous offensive teams. They enter Tuesday tied with the Atlanta Dream for first place in the Eastern Conference, with New York sitting just a half-game behind.
This will be the third of four meetings between the two sides. New York won the first matchup at Barclays Center, 83-75, in the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup before Indiana flipped the script in Indianapolis on July 18. The season series concludes August 22 in Brooklyn.

Kelsey Mitchell Over 24.5 Points (-115): Mitchell enters Tuesday admidst one of her best stretches of the season, scoring 26 or more points in five consecutive games and seven of her last eight overall.
Mitchell is averaging more than 24 points per game this season and has become a consistent high-volume scorer alongside Clark in an Indiana offense that has been rolling for several weeks.
New York already saw that firsthand on July 18. Mitchell scored 33 points on 10-14 shooting in Indiana’s 108-88 victory, including a dominant third quarter as the Fever turned a halftime deficit into a runaway victory.
With Indiana playing another important conference matchup and Mitchell showing no signs of cooling off, we’ll back the current run and take Over 24.5 points.
