We are back with another edition of Leading Off.
We’ve got a pair of Hard Rock Best Bets of the Day across a packed MLB slate.
Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Yankees RL -1.5 (+116)
Today I’m going with the Yankees on the run line, -1.5 at +116 odds. Why am I doing this? Well, because Cam Schlittler is on the hill today and he is 5-2 with a 2.84 ERA in 11 career starts at Yankee Stadium.
So hopefully this will work out better for me. It’s been bad. I was red hot and then Welsh got red hot. Now I’m ice cold. So I’ve got to turn things around here.
Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: PIT-STL Over 7.5 (-113)
I am still red hot. We are 7-0 in our last seven.
So even if I lose today, I’ll be fine. It’s a very good run that I’ve had, if anyone has been following it.
And the final one until next week is we are going with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals total runs Over 7.5. A minuscule little number with Michael McGreevy on the mound, who has been really good, but I think that could start to turn.
Both of these teams, by the way, if you’re not aware, are in the top 10 in scoring per game in baseball. So both offenses have been good.
You’ve got Carmen Mlodzinski pitching for the Pirates. You’ve got Michael McGreevy, whose strikeout numbers are not trustworthy. You’ve got a lot of home run potential, and I think we can get eight runs.
So there it is. That is the final for the 8-0 bid for my Hard Rock Bet of the day to continue the streak.
