Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Reds RL -1.5 (+146)
Today I’m going to go with the Reds on the run line, -1.5 at +146 odds. This is the best bet you’re ever going to see. You know why? Because Chase Burns is on the mound against the Mets, and he has been great and New York is awful. So lock this in.
This is the mortgage payment bet right here. There’s no way the Mets are going to touch Chase Burns in this game. They can’t get anything going here.
I forgot—is TBA still pitching for the Mets, or did they finally announce whatever guy they bring up from Triple-A to pitch in this game today?
It’s a hot mess. Still TBD over on MLB. So you know how that’s going to go. Not well.
So give me the Reds on the run line, -1.5.
Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Emerson Hancock Over 5 K’s (-123)
We’re going with Emerson Hancock over five strikeouts. Five-plus. It’s a little bit minus money, but we are going to be backing Emerson Hancock to continue to kind of mess up this situation for Seattle.
It’s just six really good pitchers. He’s got a 26% strikeout percentage. He hasn’t been walking guys all year.
I will say the strikeouts on his last three starts, he’s only hit this once, but the two he didn’t get were both against the Chicago White Sox, which is really odd.
But it’s a good matchup. The A’s are right near the bottom 10 in the league in strikeouts, specifically as of late. They’ve been striking out a bunch.
So, I like this. Emerson Hancock has been great this year. Five strikeouts is a good number. That’s what I’m locking in for my Hard Rock Bet of the day to start a new streak because I did lose that last bet before I left.
