Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Bailey Ober Under 3.5 K’s (+118)
This is a small number, no doubt, but there’s a reason for it. I’m still taking under 3.5 on Bailey Ober’s strikeouts today.
He’s facing the Toronto Blue Jays, a team with the fewest strikeouts in all of baseball. That’s a brutal matchup for any pitcher trying to rack up Ks, and it significantly lowers Ober’s ceiling.
At +118, there’s enough value here to back the under in a contact-heavy matchup.
Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Blue Jays Run Line -1.5 (+130)
I’m actually going against the Bailey Ober play and backing the Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 on the run line at +130 odds.
Overall, this offense needs to pick it up, but I like the spot. Minnesota has been scoring runs, but with Kevin Gausman on the mound – sitting around a 2.57 ERA – this is a good opportunity to slow down a hot Twins lineup.
On the other side, Ober is sitting closer to a 4.00 ERA, and that opens the door for Toronto. You get Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the rest of the bats going, and this is a team that can put up runs in a hurry.
