Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Paul Skenes Over 6.5 Strikeouts (-125)
For me, I’m taking Paul Skenes Over 6.5 strikeouts at -125.
Now, I recognize he’s going against Washington, which hasn’t struck out a ton, but we’re talking about Paul Skenes, and we’re talking about him finally getting on track and looking really good in his last couple starts.
After a little rough open to the season against the Mets, Skenes is settling in and being Paul Skenes again. I think he can get to seven at least today, if not eight. So I’m going to go with Paul Skenes there at -125.
Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Eury Pérez Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-108)
I’m going back to my boy, Eury Pérez.
Last time we were at the Over 6.5, but this time we’re getting 5.5. The reason behind that is because Atlanta is striking out near the bottom of the league.
But I still love Eury’s stuff with a 25% strikeout rate, and I do believe we can get the bounce back here. He was still able to get to six strikeouts after a 35-pitch first inning in his last outing.
We are revamped. We’re back with six strikeouts for Pérez, but watch, he’ll finish at five.
We’re going to go Eury Pérez Over 5.5 strikeouts. I feel good about this one.
