Dana White’s Contender Series enters the final stretch of Season 10 tonight, with just two weeks remaining for prospects to earn their way onto the UFC roster.

Through eight weeks, 38 fighters have already received contracts, putting Season 10 on pace to produce the most UFC graduates in DWCS history.

Week 9 brings another five-fight card to the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, with five undefeated prospects among the 10 fighters competing. That includes Summer Onley, who takes a 6-0 record into the night’s final matchup against Alivia Bierley, and unbeaten light heavyweight Nell Ariano, who faces Preston LaGrange on short notice.

The card also includes a battle of undefeated welterweights between Sal Everett and Ozzy Martin, while Roque Conceicao returns to DWCS for a second opportunity and Ryuho Miyaguchi looks to rebound from his first professional loss earlier this year on Road to UFC.

Here’s a look at the latest odds and all five matchups on tonight’s Week 9 card.

Nell Ariano is the biggest favorite on tonight’s card at -425, with Preston LaGrange listed at +325:

Sal Everett (-155)Ozzy Martin (+125)
Alexander Chavez (-120)Roque Conceicao (+100)

Nell Ariano (-425) vs. Preston LaGrange (+325)

Week 9 begins at light heavyweight, where Nell Ariano puts his 6-0 professional record up against an opponent moving up a division and coming into this one on short notice.

Ariano brings an extensive judo background to the matchup. The 31-year-old Frenchman is a judo black belt who represented the French national team for nearly a decade before shifting his focus to MMA.

He has since won six consecutive fights to begin his professional career, recording four knockouts along the way. His most recent appearance produced a different result, as Ariano went the distance and earned a unanimous decision under the Cage Warriors banner in July.

Preston LaGrange normally competes at middleweight but accepted his DWCS opportunity on two weeks’ notice and will make his first professional appearance at 205 pounds. The 27-year-old enters at 6-1 with finishes in all six victories. LaGrange has won two straight by submission since suffering the only loss of his professional career in January.

The difference in their usual weight classes was apparent at Monday’s weigh-ins. Ariano weighed 205 pounds, while LaGrange came in at 199.5.

Mateus Soares (-350) vs. Ryuho Miyaguchi (+275)

The men’s bantamweight division gets another opportunity to produce its first Season 10 contract winner when Mateus Soares meets Ryuho Miyaguchi.

Soares is 11-2 and enters Las Vegas riding a four-fight winning streak. The 22-year-old Brazilian trains under former UFC heavyweight Pedro Rizzo and has finished 10 of his 11 professional victories.

Miyaguchi has also built his record around his ability to end fights. The 28-year-old Japanese bantamweight is 7-1 with six knockouts and comes from a karate background.

He began his professional career with seven straight victories and earned a place in the fourth season of Road to UFC after defeating former UFC fighter Teruto Ishihara.

That run ended in May when Chungren Koren submitted Miyaguchi in the opening round of the Road to UFC bantamweight tournament, handing him his first professional defeat. DWCS now gives Miyaguchi another route toward the UFC less than five months later.

Alexander Chavez (-120) vs. Roque Conceicao (+100)

The closest matchup on the board comes at flyweight, where undefeated Alexander Chavez faces returning DWCS competitor Roque Conceicao.

Chavez went 6-0 as an amateur before turning professional and has continued to pile up wins since making the move. The Peruvian is now 9-0 with six finishes, with all nine of his professional appearances coming under the Inka FC banner.

The 26-year-old comes from a Muay Thai background and trains at Pitbull Martial Arts Center in Peru.

Conceicao brings an 11-3 professional record and previous experience inside the DWCS cage. The Brazilian competed on Season 9 last October but suffered a loss to Imanol Rodriguez.

He returned to competition in March and picked up a first-round stoppage victory, earning his way back to Las Vegas for another opportunity almost exactly one year after his first DWCS appearance.

Sal Everett (-155) vs. Ozzy Martin (+125)

Sal Everett and Ozzy Martin both enter tonight’s bout at 4-0, and neither has allowed a professional opponent to reach the scorecards.

Everett went 4-0 as an amateur before matching that record through his first four professional appearances. None of those four professional fights have lasted longer than three minutes.

His path to DWCS is also unlike anyone else’s on tonight’s card. The 29-year-old Las Vegas native has worked for the UFC in several roles, beginning in the mailroom and corporate security before eventually serving as Dana White’s runner. He now has an opportunity to go from working for the promotion to earning a contract as a UFC fighter.

Martin brings his own perfect record to Las Vegas. The 24-year-old is 4-0 in professional MMA with four stoppages and has also competed professionally in boxing and kickboxing.

Born in Peru and raised around combat sports by professional kickboxers, Martin now trains at Nostos MMA in New Hampshire under former UFC fighter Devin Powell.

Summer Onley (-190) vs. Alivia Bierley (+155)

The featured bout closes Week 9 with Summer Onley trying to preserve her flawless record against Alivia Bierley.

Onley is 6-0 with five finishes and enters as the reigning Full Contact Contender women’s bantamweight champion. The 32-year-old fights out of Ronin MMA in Birmingham, England, and has finished each of her last two opponents.

She will try to extend that run against a fighter who hasn’t lost since her professional debut.

Bierley dropped her first professional fight by split decision before winning five straight to improve to 5-1. Three victories during that streak have come by stoppage.

The 30-year-old trains under former UFC fighter Pete Spratt in Texas and brings an athletic background that includes college basketball and gymnastics into her first DWCS appearance.
