Yankee legend and Baseball Hall of Famer CC Sabathia joined us on the pod to talk the Bronx Bombers’ chances this year, Aaron Judge’s legacy, and Shohei Ohtani’s ranking among the all-time greats.

CC Joe & Jada CC Sabathia on the Yankees’ World Series Chances

We started by asking CC about our chances are this year, for the Bronx Bombers to win it all.

They got to stay healthy. That’s the key.

But the best team is in LA.

So, I mean, if we can stay healthy with our pitching, we’ll be alright.

I would love to see us get another chance to play the Dodgers again because I think they’re definitely going to be there.

If they also stay healthy, it’s going to be us and them at the end of the year for sure.

CC Sabathia on Aaron Judge’s Legacy, Ohtani Comparisons

Then we got into Aaron Judge and the only player who rivals him right now: Shohei Ohtani.

Great ballplayer. Probably one of the best.

I think you’re looking at like Mickey Mantle-type for this generation.

He’s that much better than everybody else right now. Guys are hitting .250, .260 – he’s hitting .350 with 50, 60 homers.

He’s this generation’s best player, no question.

He’s a better hitter than Ohtani – but not a better overall player.

Ohtani is the best baseball player to ever play. Not even close.
