The second game of a three-game interleague series between the Atlanta Braves (45-22) and Chicago White Sox (35-31) takes place Wednesday night at Rate Field in Chicago, Illinois.
The young, up-and-coming White Sox won Tuesday night’s series opener in extra innings, highlighted by 23-year-old Braden Montgomery’s two-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to cap an impressive MLB debut. Montgomery became just the fifth player in MLB history to hit a walk-off home run in his major league debut and the first since Carlos Pérez accomplished the feat with the Angels in 2015.
Tuesday’s loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Braves, but Atlanta still enters Wednesday with the best record in MLB. The Braves will turn to ace Chris Sale, who owns a 2.23 ERA this season and currently has the fourth-best odds (+1100) to win the 2026 NL Cy Young Award at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook.
Sale will face the organization that drafted him 13th overall in 2010 and where he spent the first seven seasons of his career. During his time with the White Sox, Sale earned five consecutive All-Star selections from 2012-16 and established himself as a perennial Cy Young contender.

Below is a featured pick from the Stats Hub:
Braves vs. White Sox Best Bet: Matt Olson Over 0.5 RBIs
Matt Olson has consistently proven himself to be one of the best first basemen in baseball. The veteran is enjoying another outstanding season in 2026 and enters Wednesday with the third-most RBIs (50) in MLB.
Although Olson endured a relatively quiet May, batting .220 for the month, he has started to heat up in June, hitting .357 through his first seven games. He has recorded an RBI in only two of his last five games, but his performance Tuesday night in which he hit two home runs and three RBIs against the White Sox, suggests he is trending in the right direction.
Olson and the Braves will face White Sox right-hander Davis Martin, who is enjoying a breakout season with an 8-2 record, a 2.61 ERA, and 73 strikeouts. However, Martin allowed 10 hits and six earned runs in his last outing against Minnesota.
While left-handed hitters are batting just .200 against Martin this season, Olson is hitting .280 against right-handed pitching, creating an intriguing matchup.
- Braves vs. White Sox Player Prop Pick for June 10: Matt Olson Over 0.5 RBIs (+160)
