The Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves head to Truist Park on Tuesday night with their National League Division Series tied at one game apiece and a pivotal Game 3 on tap.

Los Angeles opened the series with a 5-3 win on Saturday afternoon at Dodger Stadium. Tarik Skubal held Atlanta to one run over six innings, while the Dodgers supplied the power with three home runs from Teoscar Hernández, Kyle Tucker and Max Muncy.

Atlanta responded Sunday with a 3-2 victory to even the series before heading home. Michael Harris II led the way with three hits, including a triple in the fifth inning and an RBI double that gave the Braves some breathing room in the seventh. Atlanta also pieced together all nine innings with six different pitchers while saving its ace for Game 3.

That sets up one of the top pitching matchups of the postseason Tuesday evening. Chris Sale gets the ball for Atlanta after finishing the regular season 14-9 with a 2.16 ERA and 200 strikeouts, while Yoshinobu Yamamoto makes his first start of the 2026 playoffs after going 14-9 with a 2.53 ERA in the regular season for Los Angeles.

With the series now effectively reduced to a best-of-three, the winner of Game 3 will move within one victory of the National League Championship Series.

Dodgers vs. Braves Odds Today

Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook has this pitcher’s duel listed as a pick ’em:

  • Moneyline: Dodgers (-110), Braves (-110)

  • Total: Over 6.5 (-105), Under 6.5 (-115)

Best Bet for Dodgers vs. Braves

Los Angeles Dodgers Moneyline (-110): Yamamoto has been outstanding in his first two MLB postseasons. The right-hander owns a 7-1 record with a 2.25 ERA and 48 strikeouts across 10 career postseason appearances, playing a crucial role in the Dodgers’ back-to-back World Series championships.

His track record in Atlanta gives us another reason to trust him in Game 3. Yamamoto has allowed only one earned run over 16.1 innings in three career appearances against the Braves on the road, resulting in a 0.55 ERA with 17 strikeouts. Several of Atlanta’s most important hitters in particular have had trouble solving him. Matt Olson is 0-for-6 against Yamamoto, while Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley are each 1-for-5.

There is one additional Stats Hub trend worth keeping in mind: Atlanta has lost seven consecutive games against National League opponents following a win. That isn’t enough to make the argument on its own, especially with Sale on the other side, but it provides another trend in our favor after the Braves evened the series Sunday.

At a pick’em price, Yamamoto’s postseason résumé and track record against Atlanta are enough for me to side with Los Angeles in Tuesday’s must-win Game 3.
