March in the SEC always brings intensity, and the 2026 SEC Men’s College Basketball Tournament tips off Wednesday afternoon with all 16 teams arriving in Nashville chasing one goal: an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and a chance to cut down the nets.

The action begins Wednesday, March 11 at 12:30 PM ET when No. 9 Kentucky faces No. 16 LSU. Seeds 9 through 16 will battle in the first round Wednesday, with the second round set for Thursday. The top four seeds won’t take the floor until Friday’s quarterfinals, followed by the semifinals Saturday and the championship game Sunday at 1 PM ET.

With a single-elimination format condensed into five days, depth, health, and late-season momentum can quickly swing the bracket — factors that also play a major role in basketball betting throughout conference tournament week.

SEC Tournament Odds at Hard Rock Bet

As of Tuesday, Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook lists the No. 1-seeded Florida Gators as overwhelming favorites to win the SEC Tournament.

Florida (-170) earned the top seed and the all-important double-bye into Friday’s quarterfinals, meaning the Gators need just three wins in three days to secure the title. In a tournament where other teams may have to play four or even five games in five days, that rest advantage is significant, and it’s reflected in the odds.

Arkansas (+650) sits next in line. As the No. 3 seed, the Razorbacks also enjoy a double-bye and have the athleticism to match up with anyone in the conference. If they can control tempo and limit turnovers, they’re a legitimate threat to advance to Sunday.

Alabama (+750), the No. 2 seed, brings one of the most explosive offenses in the conference. In a neutral-floor tournament setting, a high-powered attack can be dangerous, especially if the Crimson Tide get hot from beyond the arc.

Tennessee (+800) and Vanderbilt (+1000) round out the top five on the odds board. Tennessee’s physical style tends to translate well in postseason play, while Vanderbilt, as the No. 4 seed, benefits from the double-bye and won’t have to play until Friday.
