The UFC returns to Abu Dhabi on Saturday, October 24, with UFC 333 featuring two championship fights at Etihad Arena. The 14-fight card is headlined by featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski defending his title against undefeated challenger Movsar Evloev.
The event begins at 10 a.m. ET with the early prelims, followed by the preliminary card at noon and the five-fight main card at 2 p.m. ET. All three portions will stream live on Paramount+.
Volkanovski (28-4) enters Saturday looking to extend his second reign as featherweight champion. The 38-year-old Australian reclaimed the vacant title in April 2025 with a unanimous decision victory over Diego Lopes at UFC 314, then successfully defended it in a rematch this past February in Sydney.
The victories against Lopes helped Volkanovski rebound from consecutive knockout losses to Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria. He now has an opportunity to add another successful title defense to a resume that has already established him among the most accomplished featherweights in UFC history.
Evloev (20-0) has taken a different route to Saturday’s championship fight. The Russian made his UFC debut in April 2019 and has steadily climbed the featherweight rankings, earning victories over contenders including Arnold Allen, Aljamain Sterling and Lerone Murphy.
His most recent appearance came in March, when he defeated Murphy by majority decision in London. The victory moved Evloev into position for his first UFC title opportunity after more than seven years with the promotion.
The co-main event features another championship bout, with bantamweight titleholder Petr Yan (20-5) facing former champion Merab Dvalishvili (21-5) for the third time. Dvalishvili won their first meeting by unanimous decision in March 2023, but Yan evened the series at UFC 323 last December. Yan reclaimed the bantamweight championship with a unanimous decision victory, ending Dvalishvili’s 14-fight winning streak.
The main card also features a heavyweight matchup between Alexander Volkov and Rizvan Kuniev, while ranked flyweights Lone’er Kavanagh and Ramazan Temirov meet in another main card bout. Featherweights Aaron Pico and Losene Keita complete the five-fight main card.

Best Bet for UFC 333: Volkanovski vs. Evloev
Movsar Evloev Moneyline (-105): Hard Rock Bet’s Stats Hub notes that Evloev has won all 20 of his professional MMA fights, a stretch that includes a perfect 10-0 record since joining the UFC in 2019. Interestingly enough, all 10 of those UFC victories have come by decision.
Volkanovski, meanwhile, is just 3-3 in his last six UFC appearances. That stretch includes two losses to Islam Makhachev, a knockout defeat against Ilia Topuria and two victories over Diego Lopes.
Volk is clearly the bigger name and the reigning featherweight champion, yet he’s only a slight favorite against an opponent who has never lost a professional fight. At nearly even odds, there’s plenty to like about backing the undefeated challenger.
Evloev also presents a difficult stylistic challenge. The Russian averages approximately 4.8 successful takedowns per 15 minutes in the UFC, using consistent pressure on the ground and positional control to dictate the pace of his fights.
That approach was effective in his most recent victory over Lerone Murphy. After spending much of the first two rounds striking, Evloev successfully completed nine of 10 takedown attempts over the final three rounds, handing Murphy his first professional defeat.
With the challenger entering in excellent form, carrying a six-year age advantage and possessing the grappling skills to challenge Volkanovski over 25 minutes, we’re backing Evloev to remain undefeated and capture his first UFC championship on Saturday.
