For tonight’s Hard Rock Best Bet, I’m going with one of the games in the late night hours: South Africa vs. South Korea.
I’m rolling with South Korea on the moneyline at -130 against this South Africa team that has been really disappointing so far in this tournament.
They’ve definitely been too reliant on that Sundowns squad that made the Club World Cup a year ago, but they’ve left their best player at home, were not in great form coming into this tournament, and have not lived up to the billing thus far.
Meanwhile, South Korea was in great form coming in and have looked the part every step of the way. They got the win in their first match against Czechia, 2-1, and arguably outplayed Mexico in their 1-0 loss with 100 more passes while controlling possession for 58% of the game.
I think they get the win here and roll on into the knockout rounds.
