Shane McClanahan hasn’t started a regular season MLB game since August 2, 2023. That changes tonight.

The two-time All-Star will take the mound at American Family Field on Tuesday night, 972 days after last appearing in a Major League Baseball game, as the Tampa Bay Rays look to take the series against the Milwaukee Brewers. It’s one of the better stories of the young season – a pitcher who was once among the best in baseball, now finally healthy and back where he belongs.

The Rays enter tonight’s game sitting at 2-2 after winning Monday’s series opener against Milwaukee, handing the Brewers their first loss of the season. Milwaukee (3-1) will counter with veteran RHP Brandon Woodruff, making tonight a potential pitcher’s duel in the making.
