We’ve got a pair of Hard Rock Best Bets for Tuesday night’s slate.
Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Dodgers -1.5 (-120)
Yesterday was unfortunate. I thought Blue Jays run line was a lock with Cody Ponce on the mound against Colorado. It did not turn out as such. Today, I’m gonna with the Los Angeles Dodgers on the run line. Shohei Ohtani on the mound.
At -120, there’s a little bit of juice here, but the Dodgers are 13-5 straight up in their last 18 home games. Ohtani’s on the mound against Tanner Bibee, who is coming off a shoulder injury. I’m not sure how long he’s going to pitch today. I think he’s going to be monitored heavily.
Give me Dodgers -1.5 (-120) for my Hard Rock Bet of the Day.
Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: German Marquez Over 3.5 Strikeouts
So far we’re 3-1 on the season, so we’re having a pretty good start. Last night, Diamondbacks F5 did cash.
For tonight, German Marquez is on the mound for the Padres and he’s going up against the Giants, who have had some swing and miss issues so far. What I’m really fascinated by is German Marquez in that last spring start, where he was dropping that knuckle curve. He had 18 swing and whiffs on that bad boy. Everybody was popping through it. He’s going into a much better pitching environment tonight, and is finally out of Colorado.
He should be able to go deeper into the game now, and the Giants have been whiffing. We are getting a nice low number here at 3.5 strikeouts – we only need four. I actually really, really like this one.
That being said, I’m on German Marquez over 3.5 strikeouts for my Hard Rock Bet of the Day.
