FantasyPros’ Leading Off: Hard Rock Best Bets for Monday MLB

Welcome in to FantasyPros MLB. This is Leading Off. I’m Joey P, and I’m joined by the Welsh. We’re currently in Arizona and going to the Diamondbacks game tonight.

We’ve got a lot of baseball to talk about, so let’s get after it.

Joe Pisapia’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Blue Jays Run Line (-130)

For my Hard Rock Bet of the Day, I’m going with the Toronto Blue Jays on the run line.

It’s a little juicy at -130, so I’m going to go heavy on it. You know why? Because the Jays look good.

They just swept. They’re facing the Rockies. The Rockies are terrible. They’re going to strike out a ton.

Sugano’s on the mound – he’s wretched – one of the easiest to hit pitchers in the universe.

Cody Ponce is making his debut for the Jays. He could strike out eight guys today – very possible. I think his number is set at o/u 5.5. I’d take it to go over.

All of that being said, give me the Blue Jays -1.5 (-130) for my Hard Rock Bet of the Day.

Chris Welsh’s Hard Rock Bet of the Day: Dbacks F5 Moneyline (-115)

I told you I’m going to homer out, but I like the Arizona Diamondbacks F5 moneyline at -115.

Look, the Dbacks just got swept by the Dodgers. Bad look, but we are going to their home opener tonight against the Detroit Tigers with Justin Verlander on the mound. I believe Mike Soroka is going to have a nice outing, and Arizona’s bats are going to get to Verlander early.

And guess what? If they’re tied after five innings, it’s okay – we’ll get a push.

But if the Diamondbacks are up at all through the first five innings – which I think that offense is going to get to Verlander early – then we should be alright. I’m on Arizona Diamondbacks F5 ML (-115).
