On last week’s show, Bo talked us through a creative multi-sport parlay he liked, decided to bet it himself, and then watched it cash. The logic was simple: Scottie Scheffler felt like the most likely winner on the board, but at +275, the outright price wasn’t good enough on its own. So instead of forcing a short number, Bo built around it.
He paired Scottie Scheffler outright with the Patriots moneyline and Seahawks -2.5, trusting both NFL sides to win while letting Scottie do what Scottie does. The Patriots didn’t cover – good thing the spread wasn’t involved – and the Seahawks won by more than a field goal, giving the parlay the boost it needed.
With the Super Bowl and the Waste Management Phoenix Open lining up on the calendar, there may be another opportunity to cook up something similar very soon. But first, it’s time to focus on this week’s event.
The PGA Tour heads to Southern California for the Farmers Insurance Open, and while the field strength is a little unusual for this event, we are getting what Bo called a “big boy tournament” – at least in terms of venue. Torrey Pines is back in play, and with it comes a very different betting puzzle than last week’s birdie fest.
