On last week’s show, Bo talked us through a creative multi-sport parlay he liked, decided to bet it himself, and then watched it cash. The logic was simple: Scottie Scheffler felt like the most likely winner on the board, but at +275, the outright price wasn’t good enough on its own. So instead of forcing a short number, Bo built around it.

He paired Scottie Scheffler outright with the Patriots moneyline and Seahawks -2.5, trusting both NFL sides to win while letting Scottie do what Scottie does. The Patriots didn’t cover – good thing the spread wasn’t involved – and the Seahawks won by more than a field goal, giving the parlay the boost it needed.

With the Super Bowl and the Waste Management Phoenix Open lining up on the calendar, there may be another opportunity to cook up something similar very soon. But first, it’s time to focus on this week’s event.

The PGA Tour heads to Southern California for the Farmers Insurance Open, and while the field strength is a little unusual for this event, we are getting what Bo called a “big boy tournament” – at least in terms of venue. Torrey Pines is back in play, and with it comes a very different betting puzzle than last week’s birdie fest.

Bo McBrayer’s Farmers Insurance Open Hard Rock Best Bet

This is a pure long-shot swing, and I’m fully leaning into it. My Hard Rock Best Bet for the Farmers Insurance Open is Haotong Li to Win Outright at +9800.

I’ve got a feeling about Haotong this week. It’s one of those “trust your bones” reads. He’s not a household name, but he’s good enough to win on this tour when things break right. At 98-1, the upside is massive, and that’s exactly what the Hard Rock Bet of the Week is supposed to entail.

If he surprises people – and I think he can – that’s an epic payout.

Outside of him, here are a few others I’ll be on this week:

  • Ludvig Åberg (+1750)
  • Ryan Gerard (+4300)
  • Brooks Koepka – Full ladder (Outright 53-1, Top 5, Top 10)
  • Garrick Higgo (+5800)
  • Marco Penge (+6300) & Top 10
  • Haotong Li (+9800) & Top 20
  • Emiliano Grillo (+18500)
  • Neal Shipley (+26000)

Pat Fitzmaurice’s Farmers Insurance Open Hard Rock Best Bet

My Hard Rock Bet of the Week is Tony Finau to finish Top 10 at +1050.

That’s a really strong price for a player who has seven Top 10 finishes in this event over the last nine years – a 77.7% cash rate on that exact bet. You’re getting double-digit odds on a proven course fit with elite consistency. I’ll take that every time.

The rest of my card is as follows:

  • Jason Day (+3100)
  • Will Zalatoris (+4700)
  • Brooks Koepka (+5000)
  • Pierceson Coody (+6300)
  • Sami Välimäki (+13000)
  • Karl Vilips (+33000) & Top 10

We’ll be back next week to preview the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Until then – good luck, make some birdies, and so long, everyone.
