The 2026 Big 12 Men’s Basketball Tournament takes center stage in Kansas City this week, where one of the nation’s toughest conferences will send its best into a five-day sprint for the league’s automatic NCAA Tournament bid.

All 16 teams will make the trip to the T-Mobile Center, but only four get to avoid the early-round grind with a double-bye into the quarterfinals. In a conference that routinely sends the bulk of its teams dancing, the urgency is real from the opening tip.

2026 Big 12 Tournament Odds

Arizona (+105) enters as the betting favorite at Hard Rock Bet Sportsbook. The Wildcats won six straight games to close the regular season and were the most consistent team in league play from start to finish.

Houston, the league’s No. 2 seed, follows at +185 after posting a 14-4 conference mark. The Cougars’ defense, rebounding and physical play style travel well in tournament settings, making them a legitimate threat to cut down the nets in Kansas City.

Kansas and Iowa State are both listed at +800, reflecting how competitive the next tier of contenders really is. The Jayhawks bring proven postseason pedigree and should feel right at home in Kansas City, while the Cyclones have already shown they can beat elite competition, notching regular-season wins over No. 9 Kansas and No. 2 Houston earlier this year.

Texas Tech sits at +1200, and from there the odds lengthen considerably.

The lower seeds face a daunting path, needing to win five games in five days – a tall task in arguably the most physically demanding conference in the country.
