Now, let’s break down the remarkable $10 Bonus Bet in all its glory:
The $64,816.77 parlay
The 12-bet anytime TD parlay was set up as six separate SGP Max bets. If you’re not familiar with SGP Max, it’s essentially multiple same game parlays combined on a single parlay ticket. Our hero here took advantage of the full NFL Week 6 schedule, selecting two players to score from games games across the 1pm, 4pm, Sunday night, and Monday night slates with the sweat getting better and better along the way.
1:00pm window – Seahawks vs Jaguars
The only bets from the early window of games was the 2-leg SGP Max from the Seahawks vs Jaguars game. Brian Thomas Jr. got the bet going with a 21-yard connection from Trevor Lawrence late in the first quarter, and JSN responded with a TD of his own in the second. Check and check.
- ✅ Brian Thomas Jr. – Anytime TD
- ✅ Jaxon Smith-Njigba – Anytime TD
4:00pm window – SF vs TB, CIN vs GB
In the late afternoon slate the bettor selected a pair of SGP Max wagers involving both the 49ers vs Bucs game and the Bengals vs Packers game.
- ✅ Christian McCaffrey – Anytime TD
- ➖ Chris Godwin – Anytime TD
Chris Godwin was ruled out before the game, voiding his leg. But Christian McCaffrey found the endzone through a one yard rush in the second quarter to keep the ticket alive.
Good fortune in Green Bay
Meanwhile, in Green Bay the parlay was hanging by a thread entering the fourth quarter with neither Tucker Kraft or Ja’Marr Chase having scored. In a fortuitous turn of events Jordan Love found Kraft on a 19-yard touchdown pass with just 7:33 to go in the game, and then Joe Flacco responded with a 19-yard TD pass of his own to Ja’Marr Chase with just 4:11 left in the game to keep the bet alive.
- ✅ Tucket Kraft – Anytime TD
- ✅ Ja’Marr Chase – Anytime TD
Sunday night – Lions vs Chiefs
Entering the Sunday night showdown between the Lions and Chiefs the ticket needed both Xavier Worthy and Sam LaPorta to score – and that they did. Patrick Mahomes found Worthy for a 6 yard touchdown pass near the end of the first quarter, and Jared Goff connected with LaPorta for a 4 yard score early in the fourth. The sweat continued to Monday night.
- ✅ Xavier Worthy – Anytime TD
- ✅ Sam LaPorta – Anytime TD
Monday night – BUF vs ATL, CHI vs WAS
Entering the Monday night double header there was still a long way for the bet to go with four legs remaining across two games. However, when Dalton Kincaid was ruled out close to kickoff it quickly dropped to just three.
The Bills vs Falcons game kicked off first and Drake London didn’t wait long to do his part. He caught a 9 yard touchdown from Michael Penix Jr. just before the end of the first quarter. With that, all eyes were on the Commanders and Bears.
- ✅ Drake London – Anytime TD
- ➖ Dalton Kincaid – Anytime TD
Fourth quarter miracle
For the second time in as many days the bet entered the fourth quarter of a game needing help. Neither Commanders Tight End Zach Ertz nor Bears running back D’Andrew Swift had scored and the minutes were ticking away. However, this one was meant to be.
In what must have felt like a dream sequence Jayden Daniels led the Commanders down the field and pitched a dramatic 6 yard score to Ertz with just 11:27 remaining in the game leaving just one – leg – left. The Bears took the field and just three plays later D’Andrew Swift caught a short pass from Caleb Williams, slipped a tackle on the sideline, and was off to the races for a 55-yard touchdown.
- ✅ Zach Ertz – Anytime TD
- ✅ D’Andre Swift – Anytime TD
The $631K dream
After looking the ticket over you’ll notice that there are actually 12-bets on the slip. In addition to the ten successful legs, two legs were voided because the players failed to suit up due to injury:
- Chris Godwin – Anytime TD
- Dalton Kincaid – Anytime TD
Because they didn’t play these legs were removed, with the odds of the parlay being reduced accordingly to reflect their absence. Chris Godwin was ruled out late in the week with a fibula injury, while Dalton Kincaid was a late scratch due to an oblique injury in Monday night’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.
So if the bet hit as-is for $64.8K you might be asking… what was the original payout without the voided legs? Had Godwin and Kincaid both suited up and found the endzone during Week 6… our bettor would have taken home a staggering $631K. But this begs the question… did the voided legs actually save the ticket?
We’ll never know.
